For What it is Worth....
This is the Manly Succession plan according to Fox

“(Seibold) has got a contract for another two years, but what do contracts mean for rugby league coaches?” Rothfield asked.

“There’s been 30 coaches sacked in 10 years, so that’s an average of three a year and there’s a few people in the firing line now.

“I don’t want to call for anyone’s sacking, but even though Des won on the weekend there’s huge speculation around him, Seibold and Adam O’Brien in Newcastle.

“For Seibold, I’m hearing there is a succession plan there whether it’s this year, next year or the year after.

“But Michael Ennis is on his staff there and they are very keen on what Michael can contribute to the club long term.
“Maybe with Seibold in a football manager role, director of football... so let’s see that play out.”

Ennis has previously held assistant roles at the Raiders and Eels before he made the move to Manly, juggling his coaching commitments with his role on Fox League.

In 2023, Rothfield also explained he believes Ennis has a desire to one day become a head coach in the NRL.

“He’s a very busy man here at Fox but deep down I think he does want to be an NRL head coach,” Rothfield said on NRL360.

“I think he’s a really good appointment at Manly, he did great things at Canberra and Ricky Stuart didn’t want him to leave.”

While NRL360 host Braith Anasta added: “I know he’s got ambitions to coach”.

atleast we know he will bring mongrel into the players which is somthing we havnt seen since Toovey
When Choc, Gift, Perry , Georgie, Matai, Foz & co moved on we somehow transformed into a 'nicer' sort of squad.
Even Marty arrived as a tough guy but after a couple of early suspensions i think he was instructed to tone it down, and he certainly did.
Need a balance always.

Great idea, a rookie coach that never played for the club. Where have I heard that before ffs.

The Rookie was not considered By Gould Director of football as a coaching option at the rebuilding dogs where Ennis played . The option was Ciraldo who had better coaching credentials
and the Rest is History .

Seibold as the Director of Football would not direct a Manly Premiership Winning Hollywood classic

The clubs Succession plan has to be better than this
For us to be better than what we have been in our log Decade of premiership winning decline

He'll be cheaper than siebhole also he's already in our book so worth a try, U NEVER KNOW IF U NEVER EVER GO.
Yes he is in our books .
The question is How do our Books Look ?
You want to get someone from a Winning coaching environment if we are to evolve as winners again .

As for u never ever know if u never ever go ....
The Shrewd Gould knew and he gave the more capable Ciraldo a Go

Gould also sold us a lemon in Trent, was meant to be the next super coach but has failed on each occasion.
Gould sacked him from the top job at Canterbury after praising his ability.

We are going to struggle to attract a top coach with the mess our club has been in under the Penn era.
Our best bet is finding the next coach who will be the next Bennet, Bellamy or Robinson before another club does.

Maybe he'll do things his own way without siebhole and all the losers sitting up there. Bring in his own team, not the idiots we currently have scratching their arss for how many years now.

Gould is a salesman and he would sell ice to the eskimos
Gould sold us the lemon
Not himself
The bitter Barrett lemon is on us

Gould never hired Barrett at the Dogs , The previous board did

I agree our best bet is not to gamble with Mediocrity again
Our best gamble is to invest in talented prospects just like the Great Arko did

This is complete BS... Fox pulls this stuff any time there is a vacancy, and Nine does the same. They will always try to boost the image of their co-workers. E.g Nine saying Fittler should've been the Eels coach, Kevvie for the Bears, and the Bears were (unsurprisingly) stupid enough to fall for the Mal propaganda.

There was a funny article released by the DT today, where they were ranking future NRL coaches. You could very easily tell the News Corp plants. Went a bit like this:

Josh Hannay
Highly capable coach, part of the series winning Blues side, and previously interviewed to be a head coach by the Manly Sea Eagles. Has been a premiership winning assistant coach, and has been coaching for a decade. He has high hopes for the future, but we think he is still developing his craft.

Cooper Cronk
Arguably the smartest man ever, Cronk is brilliant. Cronk has only just began his coaching career in the past fortnight, but if Todd Payten gets the sack, then he is a certainty for the Cowboys job. If the Roosters miss the finals, and Robinson is sacked, Cronk has the resume to lead them to the promised lands. Andrew Voss, an expert, says he is "just waiting to be a premiership winning coach". He is set to be the highest paid coach ever, and everyone is racing for his signature. You can email his agent here: [email protected]
