Hopoate at fullback has been outplaying Turbo at fullback as of late. His last performance there was where he basically carried the whole team against the Dragons to somehow nearly win. I'm always excited to see what he can do there.

Who will our other starting prop be, given Oshay Olay is back? Will be interesting if Bullemor keeps the starting spot, as Lodge is rubbish off the bench.

Our bench for this game is one of the most laughable I have seen from an NRL team in a long time. Has all the impact of a stick of fairy floss. To call it a Dad’s army is an insult to all us dads.

Overall not such a bad lineup. A fully fit Lehi at FB is much better than a struggling Trbo. Rest of the backline is good! Aloiai back is a step forward…pun intended! In my opinion has been missed more than we realise. Starting with Bully & Aloiai is a good thing. Simpkin at 9. Happy enough with the forwards. Reserves??? Croker at 14 not so bad, Waddell again WTF!!!! Brown ok, Lodge ok. Would have preferred Navale in place of Waddell or even Cheekam given a shot!

Having said that...
The underdogs that have recently beaten the Broncos have defied the odds and we are also in with a chance on our Home ground . As long as we make some significant team changes like Arthur back to cup where he belongs .

I have no issues with the starting lineup—given the available players, it’s the strongest and most balanced combination. However, the bench is far from inspiring. A good bench should provide impact, either by lifting a team under pressure or really taking it to the opposition.

I like to be positive, but like many others, I struggle to see the benefit of Waddell and Brown. While Brown plays at a high tempo, he never truly breaks the line. At the very least, swapping Waddell for Navale should be the minimum adjustment to add more punch to the bench.

The Brisbane team won't look anything like the one selected by the time they take the field. Apart from their two SOO representatives, and a doubt over Reynolds being fit, I can't believe a fit Cobbo won't play fullback. Arthurs will be on the wing.
Even so, it looks a much stronger line-up than ours.

Mate Croker & Waddell are 28, Lodge 29, Brown oldest at 32. Not so much a dads army although yes be nice to have a young spirited forward in there as reserve!
