Lehi is the future just not yet. Turbo will be back to full throttle soon and just watch when he is. Provided we can keep our mids on the park we're not done for yet. It's still a long way to go yet and the next month will put us in a good place for the back end of the season.

Plenty thought the Ponies were morals leading in. Said repeatedly they have major issues and tonight was no different. They will struggle v the Titans next week. Madge may be lucky to see out the year. There is a horrid stench there.
We need to back this up now with a win over Newcastle. If we are Fairdinkum we will win at least 3/4 and the bye. Possible 4/4. This will really set us up into the back end.
You were right Waz, they are in a mess and Madge looked like a shot duck in the box.
And right again, we need to back this win up next week and over the origin run as our draw is basically all team below us.
And I’ll yeild, Lehi at one looks very good, I still think Koula would make a great FB, but you can’t strip Lehi on his performances. Happy to be back in the winners circle.
Oh man… tonight was such a pleasant surprise. For the first time in what feels like a while, the team genuinely looked like they were going to give it their all from the beginning. Heaps of energy and just a desire to win. Real step in the right direction.
I am not going to believe this is the start of a season revival until I see this attitude on a week to week basis though. Tonight was great, really great, so we have to find a way to get the boys up like that for EVERY game. Admittedly it is a little frustrating because once again we see what this team is capable of, but good news is it still does appear, so now it’s really about finding that consistently and luckily Seibold has seemingly noticed that.
Faulalo take a bow. I’ve been very vocal about not thinking he’s first grade ready just yet, but tonight I happily ate my words he was fantastic. Real good signs with his development tonight.
Just solid all round, they looked a lot more connected and hungry. Very happy and pleasantly surprised. Do that again next week and we could seriously put a score on Newcastle, they’re awful. But again, I won’t believe anything with this team yet, for all we know we could also lose next week 😭

Mate I’m exposed to the Ponies weekly living in Brisbane through the missus and plenty of my mates are die hard long term members. None were confident of anything else but what transpired this evening. And they are good footy judges. Boys have said about them being physically wrecked and talk is the pre season was a disaster. Walsh being out has not helped, but other than he and Hubt, they were largely at full strength tonight. And even with them they hadn’t looked great. I was surprised both Haas and Carrigan played. Reeked of desperation to me. Arthur’s tried his best but was a bit exposed back there tonight. They are in real trouble. Guys in Brisbane trading on 23 reputations. Riki, Staggs, Cobbo, Reno even struggling. If Haas goes down they are royally f$&@ed.
What a great win! Although I did notice every time I got excited about us during the game, my brain would go into a devil vs angel mode and my inner dialogue would be like "yeah but do you remember last week" "do you know what's going to happen next week" "how many times have you seen this before" and then the angel would fight back in my head and be like "take what you get and just fkn enjoy the win" BUT EAGLEROCK BABY

The inconsistency is a killer for we fans, but part of it is that the comp seriously is so close that a very small drop off can be the difference on a given day.
Meanwhile some unsung heroes were outstanding tonite - both wingers, and also the much maligned Waddell, and the 'slow old man' Brown - both played solidly for decent minutes against some young giants in the opposition.
I'll give some credit to Seibold too, he cops it after the losses so fair's fair!

What a terrible club to coach! Madge looks like a dead man walking. There is no lack of talent, so might still turn it around, but gee, looks far off right now.
Awesome win! Tipping's shot but my heart won. Just disappointed I wasn't at Brookie to see it. Where was this happy connected team 2 weeks ago?
As for DCE, it was like he flicked a switch. Maybe it was losing origin 1 and the threat he might be dropped. Whatever the case, I hope they continue the momentum against the Knights...imagine 2 great wins in a row.
We are the Manly boys,
We had a win today,
We are the boys you know of
We showed them how to play,
No matter where we’ll be
Maroon and White you'll see,
Oh aren’t we a wonderful credit
To our locality,
So cheer boys cheer,
We are together,
Every now and then we have a win…..have a win
We will play them all around
At our home or any ground,
If they’ll always play a fair and honest game
So it’s GUZZLE GUZZLE GUZZLE
As we pour it down our muzzle,
And sing out the order loud and clear, 'MORE BEER',
And we will drink all night
Until we are very tired
In the shade of the Manly Leagues Club.

Some genius predicted 13+ Manly in the pre game thread.
wait...that was me!!!
So that's what the 'ge' stands for.
Great win.
Nothing will change so you posters be you, your thoughts are valid.... but I mean...
Pre game thread: "We're gunna lose, get yer money on the broncos, we suck, everything sucks" - post after post after post.
Then after putting fans through that all week, when Manly win do we get any version of a humble pie post? Nope.
At best it's a simply. "hey a win, good"
Then it's a deep breath and back into slagging the team's chances for the next 5-7 days.
Maybe Shakespeare put it best in Henry V, the St Crispin's day speech as I'm sure most of you will already know judging by the caliber of the posts, but for those, here is some of it:
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made
And crowns for convoy put into his purse:
We would not die in that man’s company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in Manly fan land now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon this football day.
And so ye feckless jessies, get a caber up ye, you soft, lily-livered cowards.
If ye be not brave enough to fight, maybe be brave enough to stand in support of those that are,
and not cower in fear behind your grandma's skirts as you complain from afar when there's work to be done. Begone cowards and darken our door no more with your interminable wailing.
(Although I think the last bit is from Macbeth...or Macge'th)
