Game Day: Manly v Bulldogs [Round 4, 2017]

It's pretty obvious to me...
Very hard to get an injury doing everything half Pace and half assed!
Surely he doesn't do everything half assed.
We all know you can sustain an injury with a bit of full on, 100% horizontal folk dancing !!!
Get into it Lewis for god's sake man !!!

Brown being there is just one of those blind faith things with coaches, I remember in 2015 the pleas for Tooves to drop Hiku for Tommy, and he never did it despite Hiku playing ****house and Tommy killing it when he came on during injuries.

Apparently Lewis Brown was playing injured last year

Maybe 2017 he is going to have a better defensive year

He was solid in defence against the Cowboys

I prefer Hastings but management will not relegate Brown to nswcup I do not believe

Look, it is what it is... Brown is in, has the goat pics, and as much as we don't like it, he is not going away. The only way he will get dropped is if he gets hit by a bus in The Corso, or falls of a ferry...

Brown was good in his role last week.
Our bench will be crucial in this game as the dogs tend to grow a leg when Kasiano comes on. Maybe Nate can be assigned just the one job, take care of the big guy for the shortish minutes he is on.

I thought Brown did his job well last week (duck).
There are a few possible reasons for his inclusion:
1. He played every game last year in a variety of positions often carrying injury. He played fine last weekend. Coaches may see no reason to drop him.
2. The team finally played for each other last week. What message does it send if players are always expendable?
3. The need for experience to balance youth.
4. Hastings ego management. Baz is trying to avoid hitting the pump button so doesn't want him replacing an international as the sole utility.
5. Brookie's likely to be a bog on Saturday so two small utilities running around those giant clueless lumbering Bulldogs might be an advantage.

I'm trying to 'keep the faith' with Barrett. I've backed him when he's been lambasted by many on here & I'm still backing him, however even I'm getting tired of this 'love' he has for Lewis Brown. I have nothing against Lewis Brown but if there aren't better options available to us for a bench utility then we're up s&%t creek without a paddle! I also feel we will lose Jackson Hastings if he's not given a real opportunity to play 1st Grade & I wouldn't blame him......I will then join the chorus in the 'get rid of Barrett' campaign coz the constant selection of Lewis Brown is starting to really piss me off! If he's better value on the bench than Hastings or Lane then I give up.....especially against the Dogs this weekend! What I saw from both of these guys last weekend was enough to convince me they need to be in the team somewhere....especially Lane! Surely Lane has more tackle busting ability than Brown............

Hastings is your X Factor player who can create something out of nothing. Against a solid Dogs forward line up, we need that sort of player. The dogs have us in the forwards (just), we have them in the backs.

If we hold them in the forwards we will put on heaps in the backs. They always grind up the guts but with jake cutting them in half with myles, marty and lawrence doing their job i can see this as another very good win . Dylan Walker first try scorer .
