All the ridiculous rule changes, multiple referees, sensitive gen y players, media moguls, and private owners are slowly torturing Rugby league to death.

Loved Manly v Canberra back in the early 90s. I remember we put 40 on them in Canberra 1 year, I think 91.

I know Fox are cherry picking the better games when they have these retro games, but geez there is a massive difference between the game in 1993 and 2016, and it is not for the better.

2016 is robotic and quite frankly pretictable and boring compared to what I am currently viewing from 1993.

Agree with all comments the games gone to sht.
Gee Cliffy was amazing he could just read the game so well, absolute legend of our club.
Why didnt he ever attempt to coach us he wouldn't put up with crap we are serving
up the moment. I can see why the new generation dont like nrl as much the games changed, if only the young generation could have see what most of us know as NRL (90s even 80s).
What a shame what money n privatisation does to a sport.

Ha ha. Love the Foxtel classic rugby league find. Their definition of a classic game is rarely the same as mine. I see Manly involved so get excited and tune in. Get the recorder going so I can keep it as the classic game it is.

Then things start clicking. "Hold on. . . I know this game . . . I was there. We got dudded.

I've decided that there is a massive Manly hater at Foxtel having an absolute field day with this stuff.
