Mark,Been quite a lot up here in the news regarding this game , purely from the Fins perspective as you’d expect.
I have no doubt the Fins are well and truly UP for this game , the interviews I’ve seen suggest it’s their most important game of the year , lose and they are probably out of contention , win and they are still in the hunt.
Hard to see it not being Fins by plenty.
Be a completely different thing if , we were busted by injuries ( which we are ) , and the troops were rallying around their much loved & respected captain who was nearing retirement and playing a milestone game but that’s far from the case ( as it appears ).
I doubt many of them give a flying **** any more and just want the season to be over like we do.
Could be anything this weekend , our first 50 point defeat beckons.

I’m seeing it exactly the same way. What’s also in our favour is Phins have everything to play for and will come in with nerves of lose and they are done. I can’t see this one being close. Either we’ll put a score on them or vice versa.Mark,
Everything you say is spot on, and I agree, I don't think this team is together enough or care enough to play for their 350 gamer.
There is one added variable and that comes with not giving a crap. I can see Manly just throwing caution to the wind and giving the ball lots of air. I think the forwards battle will be very much abandoned for this one and it will be hail Marys as the order of the day.
Could be looking at a score like 40-26, even in the wet, and it could even be a Manly win.

100% agree with these sentiments. The team is a rabble at the moment and a win will just paper over the gaping holes (not cracks) that are in this club. I hope we get a score put on us and likewise for the last 2 rounds. That way the pressure should well and truly be on for change.Really?
We are hopeless, dispirited, and even worse in the wet.
And what good will a win do? Keep plonkers like Brooks, Saab and DCE in the team?
We've blown our chances to play finals.
I don't think I've ever felt so unsupportive of my team; a team I've been following for 65 years. I am even secretly hoping we get flogged again, just so it reinforces to the blockhead selectors how much we need fresh faces in the team in the last couple of matches of the season. I am desperate to go into the off season with a ray of hope that 2026 won't be more of the same rubbish.
Even the Dogs game Manly began well, still right in it well into second half before wheels fell off.Same applied against the Raiders and even the Roosters with good to very reasonable starts
Yeah , go along with that to but Dogs scored first after Manly hanging in there for the i st 15 min or so and were clearly on top at half timeEven the Dogs game Manly began well, still right in it well into second half before wheels fell off.
Clearly we need to attach the wheels more securely.
Yeah and how ironic that you'd go downhill faster with the wheels fallen off. Doesn't make senseSeem to recall also that Manly had some opportunity to draw level just after half time but gee things went downhill after that with the fade out
Remember what pressure does. I recall games in the past where Manly have been in "must win" games at Brookie to make the eight, and they got hosed by big scores. Pressure is on the Dofflins here, and Manly will be "footloose and fancy free".I’m seeing it exactly the same way. What’s also in our favour is Phins have everything to play for and will come in with nerves of lose and they are done. I can’t see this one being close. If it’s wet we are ****ed before a tackle is made.I can't see our players being up for this psychologically. It certainly looks like not all are happy with DCE and Seibold and its looking like a wet and greasy track. I'm finding hard to be optimistic about this game.
In reality, what does a win really matter. Our season will still be a FAIL regardless of the results of our final matches. If we fluke wins in all three then can you imagine the recriminations? "we were so close to making the eight.... "I can't see our players being up for this psychologically. We won’t win all 3 , in fact we mightn’t win even 1.In reality, what does a win really matter. Our season will still be a FAIL regardless of the results of our final matches. If we fluke wins in all three then can you imagine the recriminations? "we were so close to making the eight.... "
Hope they do it for you guys matee. We are long odds to make the 8 with a win on Sat anyway. I'll be going to the game with my son and nephew and sure as hell we'll be wanting to see a Manly win.
I'm with you, eaglebuzz. If a Manly loss means the Roosters can get knocked out of the eight, I am not against it.I won't be sad to see the Dolphins win. They have a much better chance of being competitive in the finals if they can edge in ahead of the Roosters. And a Manly win would just drag out our false hope for another week.
DCE losing Game 350 has a poetic justice to it too.
