The Eels do have a strong roster but compared with other sides they have a proliferation of solid talent rather than one or 2 standouts. In particular they have heaps of decent forwards. Their forwards overpower the opposition, then they apply pressure with repeat sets and Moses bombs. That's about it.

Their attack has fallen away alarmingly. It doesn't help that Moses has a sore back, the hooker is out, Papali'i moved to the middle. Manly scored points against Storm with very little ball, we will score more against the Eels and I don't think the Eels can score enough points to beat us.

Actually I don't even think Gutho is worth what he is getting now, and should just take the Eels current offer. There is no other "good" club that really needs him, that would pay that type of money for him.
