Game Day: Manly V Eels [Round 8, 2024]

Here's hoping for another quick start but this time we go on with it.
Parra will be fired up and playing with emotion after being embarrassed by the Phins and shamed by their coach.

Emotion can be powerful but it's a double edged sword. If we give them a sniff they'll maintain their heightened state. If we crush their hopes and dreams early they'll go to water.

I'd love to have the game wrapped up with 20 to go so the boys can put on a show. Failing that, keep them under 12 points. I'll be happy with any win but we can't let the Storm and the Chooks have all the fun.

Hey guys do you think we a certainties to score 31+ points out there tonight. I'm thinking the Eels are severely depleted and we are almost full strength. So really I think we should score at least 6 tries and Garrick would be a safe bet to convert at least 4 of them.

Seriously considering putting on a big bet with Manly $2.28 to score 31+ points.

I'm not sure if those odds will go down the longer I leave it.

I am really in split minds with this.

An international Navy rugby league game will be played at 4 Pines Park tonight as the curtain raiser to the sold out ANZAC Round clash between the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and the Parramatta Eels.

Add that to the current form the eels are im, manly has no excuse no to win by 20-30 points

We were robbed last start against them.
At near full strength, baring Sips and Ben.
After 2 frustrating games, this is the one where we go full bore and rack up a big score.

I have never won on the footy before but I have never bet more than $100 before either. We are full strength with our attacking options, dry track, they will be so pumped to put on a good show in memory of Tezza Infront of a packed house. Obviously Ben T and Sipley are huge outs for us but when I look at our 17 and considering that we have both Brown and Lodge coming on from the bench I really feel that this squad can keep the momentum going if we start this game well. It would be nice to see Bullemor and Lawton also make a good impact as their positions in the squad are by no means locked in so they have huge incentives to play out of their skins.

This is a razzle dazzle team lol no matter what ways you look at it. Our 1-7 is definitely premiership winning material so it all comes down to our forwards laying the platform and doing the hard yards with no silly offloads they just need to own the Parra pack and our backs will be unstoppable.
