Chins get the wins

No games are easy chins.
Many are for our side. To say otherwise isn't really honest.
If our boys give 90% we can't lose this one

Lots of rain makes this a game we could lose.
Not against Manly. They are like Souths and use ball movement. I can't remember them winning an arm wrestle.

So it is a good week to get **** weather

Nothing seems to matter with the rain. Rain = doom. Ever tried to bath a cat?
Ever seen a bird fly with wet feathers?

On another note.

Manly's marketing team are shameless. Ever since I bought a ticket to Brookvale last year they've been texting me about membership prices and ticket sales. I've unsubscribed twice and I'm still getting bull**** from them.

I'm not going back to that ****hole in the pouring rain.

So I will be interested to see if Tom bounces back in a big way after his sloppy affair last week. If he has an error free game he will go a long way to wreaking havoc out there today. As it stands he has made the most handling errors in the competition thus far. In saying that he also tops the list for offloads (11) and line break assists (6) so it is crucial that our speedsters are always lurking in support to reap the rewards.

As a team, our set completions are the worst in the comp (74%). Thanks largely to the 15 or so errors last week. When it comes to metres gained we are a top 4 team. We really need to sharpen up our attack in the oppositions 20 and run some good angles and throw in some trick plays.

I would also like to see some more dummy half runs, even from the likes of DCE and Turbo when we are on a roll. We have only done 20 so far in 4 games (dead last).

Defensively we are averaging less tackles per game than the other teams but we are a bottom 4 team when it comes to missed tackles. We really need to rectify this starting from today otherwise the Panthers will tear us apart.

Koula, Brooks and Garrick have made 9 line breaks between them. Our speedy wingers need to be more aware positionally and always prepared to be looming in support for any potential long range attacking plays. Paulo in particular has been pretty ordinary with his positional play this far. A few tries have gone begging because he wasn't in the right place at the right time.

And Garrick still has some fine tuning to do defensively when it comes to his goal line defence. But in saying that his overall work rate has been terrific.

I would like to think they come out with a few points to prove after our last 2 games. We looked like a well oiled machine from the get go in Vegas so if we get back to the basics and be patient we can really put the Panthers to the sword without their No.1 man.

And lastly and very importantly we need to wrap up the bloody ball in our tackles. Those offloads are killing us at times and costing us dearly.

We can do this and end this dominance the Panthers have over us of late. They have defeated us like 8 or 9 games in a row and the last 4 occasions at Brookvale. What a joke.

DCE's milestone is worth celebrating, and I do admire his achievement, but the emphasis seems to be fully on this. Case in point was Seibs' pre-game interview yesterday, discussing very little on the game itself.

With all due respect, I hope the team concentrates on the task at hand and at least improving on last week. We're going to need all the defence we can muster, eliminate errors and be disciplined to have any hope.

Especially now its sunny, I have no confidence about this game but nonetheless I'm off to Brookie to cheer them on and hoping for a miracle. Go Manly!!

Especially as the record truly belongs to Beaver. Has DCE mentioned this at all in his interviews?

If we play like we did in Round 1 and the first half of round 2 and the first 15 mins of round 3 we have a very good chance of winning this.

If we play the way we have the rest of this season so far we will lose by 40.

I have never been a fan of the inclusion of the 6 again rule. The game was free flowing enough as it was in my opinion. It makes the game more frustrating to watch and more lopsided at times. If anything they should have just added one bonus tackle as a deterrent. Short dropouts/kick offs are another pet hate of mine. I believe if a team is unsuccessful with a short kick off or goal line dropout the team who successfully defused the kick should be given a zero tackle set.

We haven't a hope in hell of winning this. We just don't have a team that has the ability to beat the best team of the last 30 to 40 years.

I suspect @The Royal Soup will be blowing up on the game day thread within the first 5 minutes.
well we shall see, if we continue with the errors and basic lack master pea heart errors then yes I will be

you are only as good as your last game

Good test coming up , am I confident No , Did I tip Manly Yes
Just put in a good effort with minimal mistakes and Manly are a chance
GO MANLY

Well time for talk is over
Now let's see a response from last week boys
That was shocking last week

For those who say we are zero chance, I hope you took the $1.70 on the Riff.

I thibk we are a punchers chance
