From the 'NRL Casualty Ward - All the Latest Injury News, Updates & Returns Details' web page, Here is the Latest NRL Injured or Unavailable Update:

* * * (Updated: Sunday, 25 Feb 2024) * * *

Sea Eagles back-rower Josh Schuster won't travel to Las Vegas for the historic double-header after Manly made the decision to give him extra time to overcome the calf strain which ruled him out of the Pre-Season Challenge.

“The medical staff has said that due to ongoing tightness, that medically we’re not comfortable having him return to play and that we want to take a more conservative approach,'' coach Anthony Seibold said.

“We will leave him here [in Australia] hoping that he will return in the near future with the expectation that he will be playing again from round two.”

Manly Sea Eagles
  • Josh Aloiai (Shoulder, Round 1)
  • Josh Schuster (Calf, Round 2)
  • Matthew Lodge(Knee, Round 6-8)

Also, from the NRL Casualty Ward, Manly hub page, there are slight variations to the information regarding the unavailable or injured players and their return periods:

  • Josh Schuster (Calf, Round 2)
  • Matthew Lodge(Knee, Round 5)

Manly Sea Eagles
  • Toafofoa Sipley (Pre-Season Challenge Week 1, Crusher Tackle – suspended 3 games)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Be very surprised if Aloiai starts , more like the bench .
With Sipley out , also more like Brown starting as 13 , .Jake at prop starting
Lawton on the bench with Bully almost certain and maybe a toss up between Waddell and Arthur for the remaining spot .
Also would be very surprised if it went to Parker .
Hardly expect Woods on the bench but guess nothing can be ruled out .

Has Jamie Humphreys really jumped ahead of Gordie after the two great games he played to finish the season last year ?
Last year is ancient history, it's who's playing well now that counts (although we were all getting excited about the form of Cooper Johns this time last year).
It's a 2.30 am kick off time for me so I really hope we get the win to make it worthwhile

I am in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for three months. Anyway, I was getting all excited about the game this weekend. So I started looking at heading on down there flights, accom and tickets. Flights were OK, then I started looking at tickets. FMD, tickets on half way are $478. Other decent seats are on the quarter line are $189. There are cheaper seats for $19 but they are nose bleed at the end. Seats behind the gold posts are $79. I am really surprised that the NRL has priced tickets that high. I thought they were trying to get people to the game? Anyway, we'll see how it goes. I still might head on down there but just not paying that much for a ticket. If I go it will be nose bleed for me...... How many others are going?

Go for sure, just for the experience, even if it is the nosebleeds
