Game Day: Manly v Roosters [Round 9, 2018]

Dropped balls and some BS calls from Perenara have cost us today, along with that missed conversion of AFB's try. Without that we probably would have won handsomely.

Still, I'm just happy that for the first time in weeks we have actually competed. Lot of heart shown today, just lacking a lot of polish.

Wow. Could of won that. We had a real dig, played a lot better. Roosters desparate goal line defence saved them. Some silly dropped balls

Our hands cost us this game, two tries on the back of knock ons coming out of our area.

Kelly, Jake, Thompson were all great. Suli was good, even in defence.

I don’t think the refs were particularly bad, they should have let Walker keep going - I feel like there’s so much structure in the game now and so many rules when something unexpected happens they have no idea how to react and just stop the play somehow.

Only saw the second half but the boys seem to put in this week. Tom though - dear me. He is not the player I thought he would be this year. Not writing him off as I’m sure he’ll realise his potential but just thought he’d be more advanced than what he is.

I understand we lost. But i feel we should have won. Very emotionally confused. Guess its not easy playing against roosters and the refs. V frustrating.
