Had the pleasure of many conversations with this outstanding individual, took many photos of him and another supporter for him, his attitude was without supporters where would be the passion. Can I also say another person who was similar of the same era was Kite.

Matty was a class act on the field and is one off it. Its a shame that his time also coincided with Scam Smith's time. If not for that he would easily have played more than the one Origin and given the other choices (Ennis and Farah), he would have been the long term Kangaroos hooker.

I'm glad he played for Manly.

I was going to post the same thing....but I find it's most 'celebrities' that simply (or narcissistically [sp]) post a picture to feast on the 100's of comments that follow.

As was said above, he should be our strength and conditioning coach. Or some sort of trainer. He is a great guy, a few years ago at Brookie when he and the team did a parade lap, he stopped to pose for a picture with my teenage daughter. He was friendly and patient with a klutz like me who couldn't snap the picture properly. A great club man and one of our class of 2008 (and 2011).
