I hate refs, always have. But this bloke has blown the kickoff whistle in almost 300 games and is the best in the business. I find it horrendous he is being penalised (pun intended) for leaking the puke the Archer/Greenberg/Sutton triumvirate has hoisted on the game. Chicken should have reffed Origin but was overlooked. Perenara otoh is now one of the top refs in the game.

It's time the Unholy Trinity, the Ugly Oligachs, the Triumvirate of Terror were dealt with and swiftly!

He also sent Scam Smith to the sin bin. HERO.

The current state of refereeing tells you what a mess they are in and how Greenturd has made their lives so much harder. Ceccin is one of the better refereed and is respected by the players. We need one referee to ref a game and let them make calls with confidence!!

I see what the op is saying but he certainly isn't my hero. You don't get given the verb 'ceccined' by not ripping Manly off a game or two.

All that has happened to him is what he has done to us on quite a few occasions. I wonder how he likes not being able to do his job properly due to forces outside of his control.

However, you won't find a fan of any ref in me, so maybe my comments are biased.

Rd.4 - Cronulla vs Melbourne @ Endeavour. Cecchin blew 32 penalties in the game, striking a blow for common sense about the new "penalise everything" edict from the NRL and Greenturd which caused the media to go into meltdown. Unfortunately all it did was put him on the outer and now there are big rumours that he will be lost to the NRL and is looking at a move to the ESL.

I can't use best for Cecchin, and if he was regarded that way, it is like being the least smelly turd of the bunch

Personally I still like Badger the most, even though his miss of the strip on Taufua from 1m away was disgraceful on Saturday

Will never forgets Cecchins first game, think we were still NE at this point, up 30-8 when Steve Clark got injured, Cecchin came down from the stands with his whip and rode the Warriors like a Melbourne Cup favourite to get them home 32-30

The Grasshopper wasn't too bad. He did 9 Origins, of which Qld won 7. When asked about it he said that everyone is entitled to a couple of bad games now and then hehehe.
