The only good thing is that having this mild stroke now will highlight some health issues he was unaware of, and has probably saved him from having a massive stroke down the line .... best wishes to Matt and his family ...

I've heard there is a heart condition elite athletes can get due to them being SO fit...something to do with the strain on their heart & VO2 conditioning I think.

Usually resolved with a stent.

Hopefully whatever Scott has is easily treatable & avoided in future.

Matt Scott is a champion and a great bloke. He deserves a lot of respect for making an amazing career for himself after breaking a leg on debut at the age of 18. A very similar beginning to Brett Stewart who also suffered a season ending injury on debut
