The Panthers had a 40 minute sector of that game without a try'
They scored in the 23rd minute...then did not strike again till the 63rd minute.
That means they scored 0 points in 40 minutes and 46 points the other 40 minutes.
If that does not point out a team mentally, as much as physically not in the game - nothing will.

They should put posters of the 78 GF replay in the dressing room to show what passion and guts looks like and what it looks it to bleed for for our jersey and if that doesnt inspire them, then nothing will, then point them to the gate. The way they are playing right now cuts me deep to the core. I reckon I, us all on here and all our other supporters are hurting more than they are. Make no mistake, I always have and always will support my Sea Eagles through thick and thin and that wont change ever. But its time for the players to pay us supporters back because we have to continue to show our support through all the flack we cop. Between that period they merely contained us. They were cruising all night and when they went up a notch we floundered.

Honestly had the Panthers been “on” my pre game prediction of 74-4 would have been close.

It was a training run for them and that showed on the scoreboard.

We got very lucky. Perhaps Penrith didn’t want to go all out and risk a stupid injury or something... who knows?

They had a very tough game the weekend before.

I think the game plan was.

1) let’s play normal and get a fair lead ( 22-0).

2) then let’s do enough to hold them.

3) at the end let’s have some fun once we have them on the ropes.

I miss the good old days when this team was one of the most mentally tough teams in the comp. We ate adversity for breakfast. It all crumbled when Barrett took the reigns in 2016.
