Billy goes well for QLD, but honestly he doesn’t have to coach, they are all elite , he just has to motivate.

I think he would be very different in a club role.

There is no doubting however he has a footy mind. When you listen to him commentating there's really not much you can't help but agree with. He will get a gig somewhere in the near future. I'd like to see him have a go here.

Prefer young/passion to old/passionless. See current Hasler, Bennett. Not sure Barrett had passion, I remember plenty of blank stares and meaningless babble at many a press conference. Ryles is going ok.

Hasler was a young coach with passion when we appointed him in 2004. That turned out alright.

Anyway, the point of this thread is the poll, so let’s see how that ends up. I picked Ballin, but wouldn’t mind Arthur either. He knows the place and I think would give us a hard edge which we lack.

Agree Brookie, plenty of siebhole out there we just have to find the right one, can't get any worse.

I’d like to avoid the ‘sack the coach’ short sighted, quick fix option that always surfaces in the NRL… but does it work? Instead of sacking the head coach, maybe we try and refresh the assistant coaches for next year… Dymock and Hales are not setting the world on fire… might be worth exploring?

New assistants bring new ideas, new voices, new tactics.. Ennis spoke of the value he sees in developing his coaching under siebold… let our coach manage the programme (this probably plays to his strength)

**for the record, losing DCE for Fogarty will be a huge improvement, if we get some energy from the young middles from pathways and recruitment.
