Ah Bryz, truely one of the greats. I look forward to seeing him gallantly defending the Flyers goal behind our defensive line of a bucket & a rag on a stick. Tight.

From the sounds of things the NHLPA would be mad to knock that kind of deal back. The NFLPA were going for that level of revenue sharing last time that league was stuck in a lockout & the NFL laughed in their faces. Obviously much different levels of money involved but it'd still be a fantastic result for the NHLPA. Hope they get the details sorted out ASAP.

Laviolette is indeed the Boss. I think that more coaches should look into the 'punch the player in the head' technique. Mike Vick throwing interceptions again? Hit him like he hit his pitbulls. Tony Williams forgetting that he's playing a game of RL again? Start punching until he either wakes up or suffers brain damage. I think it's a winning formula.

Much of what I've been reading regarding the CBA discussions seems to indicate that the NHLPA have no intentions of signing a deal before mid-November/December at the earliest. With so many top players playing in Europe the NHLPA is going to be looking after their interests & I very much doubt that players went overseas with the intention of returning in a few weeks.

I see that the cut-off date for the Winter Classic has been set at November 20, so the second & third weeks of November may be when we actually start seeing some real progression made in the talks.
