Obstruction rule

Harrigan admitted on the Game Show there were bad stuff ups. But he said that had all been sorted out, and now all the referees are on the same page with the obstruction rule.

Until then we're left with the situation of two referees, two linesmen, one video ref, and none of them have any idea of what is now an obstruction under Bill's regime.

I sat next to Bill at a Rugby Dinner tonight. He admitted he was copping a hard time. He left at one point and came back saying that there had been a wrong call on an obstruction call tonight but that it hadn't been a try.

Had some interesting things to say, one of them that the refs had spent a lot of time discussing and trying to clarify the rule.

Found out he was a bunny supporter as a kid, though had grown up in the South West. Not a bad bloke one-on-one and was entertaining as an after-dinner speaker.

Possibly also hinting that some journo coulda asked that question.

Obviously that article although with today's date, was written prior to last night's game as there was no mention of the bungle that Archer made.
