There is no A.I. Just better computers
I just want him to walk of a winner each week. How he gets on with ex-players worries me not.

Does this decision confirm that Barrett is not running the show?Last yr he had the chance to choose DCE as captain, yet overlooked him.He did miss a few games but he returned before Lyon went down injured.
It confirms the opposite to me.
Barrett is his own man, and his Manly career will live or die upon results.
I agree.
Hardly any secret Zorba the Hutt is close a close can be with the Stewart clan. (Not saying there is anything wrong with that).
But if it was to be the call of "some" at the club I cannot see how DCE would be their choice.....
Is this a pisstake?
What the hell does sending off Stewart and Matai have to do with DCE?
Shall we ask him what his plans are for catering at home games also?????????
To me, as long as he walks of a winner every week I'm happy with him. The rest is just data usage. How he gets on with ex players doesn't worry me either, but showing the current playing group the calibre of man he is does.
Seeing as you more than obviously missed the point of bazeagles post, let me spell it out.
DCE was appointed CAPTAIN this week, yet when asked on Fox Sports what's happening with Brett Stewart, who just happens to be a club legend, he had the temerity to say he had "no idea" and as far as he was concerned Tom T was the no 1 fullback, and that he was excited about playing with a new roster of players.
Sorry? The club captain has "no idea" where/what/how the best fullback we've ever had is? Hasn't once spoken to him, or asked the coach, or anyone in the club how he's going? Whether he will be able to play this season? No idea whatsoever?
Sorry that just doesn't wash and that is the disgrace folks. The now captain is PRETENDING he has NO IDEA where a club legend superstar team mate is.
As it happens I am the "captain" at my work in charge of 9 people, and I can tell you I know where every single one of them is most minutes of every day. For DCE to make out he has no idea, as though Brett was some cast off reserve grader, is not only an insult to a club legend, but above all an insult to us fans who've supported the club for decades and want to know whether we'll see a club legend play again.
What DCE should have said is that as captain he knows exactly where Brett is at because he made it his urgent business to find out, and that furthermore he hopes Brett can star for the team again this season as he is a club legend who won 2 premierships and scored more tries than DCE has ever imagined in his dreams.
Yes, yes, yes we all know DCE and Brett have never got on, so the real story is he wants Brett to move on as fast as possible, but whether that's the case or not it doesn't wash to dismiss a legend and feign utter amnesia as to his existence.
At least pretend to know or care would be the better approach.
And here's the final point. When Tom T was asked the same question, he said Brett was definitely the no 1 fullback if fit, that he'd be happy to play any position alongside Brett, and that he hoped Brett would play and star again this year.
Notice the difference???
That's some good shiit you're smoking up there @Top End Eagle ! lolMeenwhile we are not dealing with the real captain Daly: Daly duties of a captain: and that's why cats don't eat sugar. Also has anyone noticed that dolphins have a terrible name. Surely the first person to name them must have caught them on an off day because I have seen them do some amazing tricks and jumps. I'd call them exciting fins.
And did you know that if you drown an ant in water you can revive it by putting some salt on it. It's all about osmotic gradients, spiracles and trachiaie. Captain Daly knows these things. Good night.

Lillchip spells it out - better than I did. Face it guys - DCE is Captain of this great club and he MUST address the Brett and Matai issues and do so with class and dignity. Ignoring both great players especially Brett smacks of either immense weakness or cow-towing to the internal political pressures/agenda. As Captain if he really embraces the true responsibilities of this role: he must stand up DCE and say it - let Brett and Steve know where they stand in regards to the club they have sweated blood and MASSIVELY DELIVERED for and how they will be appropriately recognised from here on. Silence doesn't cut it. At all.
You want DCE to call a public holiday? Name a stand after them?
Name his kids after them?
Get a face tatt on each ass cheek?
It's not up to DCE to make a call on these two legends, he's only being told what the clib tells him! Obviously they don't get on so they would hardly be updating each other. Or maybe he doesn't want to touch the topic of the two that are beyond repair yet still trying to milk the cash at the expense of the clubs future?!
You're being far too precious in my humble opinion, this is not world diplomacy it's a football team, so long as they get out there and bust up the opposition each week I don't give two hoots what they say in staged press conferences.Seeing as you more than obviously missed the point of bazeagles post, let me spell it out.

How about the fat f**k ZtC media manager comes out and gives the fans an update on the roster? When in the past has a newly appointed captain come out in January and had a presser to announce the top 25? ****ing stupid to put this onto Dce, he has been Captain for five minutes.Lillchip spells it out - better than I did.
