Plenty of talk about needing this player or that ... Foran, a 2nd rower, a prop, a big winger , a back-up hooker etc etc .... all relevant and fair enough .... but ...

If you could only get one present under the tree .... it would have to be a quality back up for Fullback ... a winger or centre that can fill in for Tom ... without our win percentage dropping through the floor ....

Now if that is Hoppa .... then happy days .... if not we need to get one real quick ..

I am confident enough in the rest of our squad ... that only minor tweaking will make us a serious contender ...

If we keep Hoppa he could be that back up fullback we desire.
My number 1 pick would be a world class Halfback and push Cust to #14, Chez to 5/8. I still believe Cust's best position is #14
No sense having a world class winger/centre if they never get the ball. If we have a spine of Fainu, Chez, Turbo and a world class Halfback then you could put my grandma on the wing and she would score tries. A lot depends on Hoppa and Fainu but if they are both fit I'd be definitely going a halfback

At $350k a year Foran is a steal. Winning becomes a habit and builds momentum, Foz could help us build that!

I am conflicted ... I am not sure whether you work hard at being a numbnut .... or that, it is a congenital condition .... anyway ...

I have never said they are soft .... what I have said is that they play without both ... mongrel or a pack mentality .... both things can be improved if we #haveagoodcoach ....

However, I have noticed that over the past couple of weeks .... (probably as a result of reading my posts) ... that Siro has started to hit with a little sting, Paseka is aiming up, Guacomole likes to hit, and Keppie is using his weight .... all we need now is for AFB and Kapow to stop the love in ...

Agreed, a back-up fullback like Johnson would be ideal.
However, I love watching Ado-Carr play. He's dynamic in attack and doesn't shirk his defensive duties. He'd be my No. 1 choice. And having such a speedy winger would be a return to the Manly style of RL. I "fell in love" with the maroon and whites when watching the Yachich (sic) brothers on our wings; then followed such speedsters as Irvine, Boustead, Gartner, Shearer, Wolfman . . .
We've lost that element of speed, and it makes for a dull backline.

Need to look at the number 9 options available based on Fainu’s court date in 2021.

Options at the club are to retain Levi, not sure on him, blood Jack Birt very young but has talent, I have liked what I seen of Cust playing in the middle.

Retain Albert for wing/ fullback/ centre.

A winger if possible, we are very short in what we currently have.

Agreed but we need to do it on the cheap So will be difficult... in saying that apparently we are struggling to fit Foz in so i fear there won't be much left in the cap for anything else
