Other Games [Round 1, 2022]

I appreciate the Clay Davis reference!
I can’t remember wether it was you that tipped me to watch the Wire…even though it’s twenty years old, it was ahead of its time. And yes, once I heard Clay Davis saying it, I couldn’t get it out of my head. The first dozen times, the family thought it was funny. Now they threaten to throw whatever comes to hand at my head! Sheeeeeit! lol

Best show ever made!
Best cast, most memorable quotes that are endless and best characters like all of them. My top 3. Mcnulty Omar and bubbles. What a show!

Titans coach Justin Holbrook was fuming at his side’s treatment by the officials after they copped a 7-1 penalty count and lost the game 32-28 after three late Mitchell Moses penalty goals.

A clearly frustrated Holbrook took aim at the officials and the captain’s challenge in a fiery post match press conference after the Titans had one failed captain’s challenge to three successful ones for the Eels.

“Yeah definitely,” Holbrook replied when asked if the lopsided penalty count was a tough pill to swallow.

“I’m not here to take anything away from Parramatta. Good luck to them it is not about that.

“It is about us as a club being not one of the big clubs and not getting anything.

“If they are 50/50 then make them 50/50s. Give us a couple and give them a couple and we are happy. I’m not asking for 7-1 and 3-0 in the captain’s challenges.

“You are better off getting me to talk about the first half and the officials to do the second half rather than now you are asking me 10 minutes after a game.

“We had a great opportunity to try and win a footy game taken away from us.

Can you imagine if Des (or trent) said that while greenburg was in charge. there'd be faux outrage and fines galore.

Standard procedures, the eels always get a leg up. Time and time again! How many refs have been sacked and apologies issued after blunders in eels games

At least we get another year of annesley's weekly reviews going "sorry, vid ref got it wrong. Sorry, ref got it wrong..sorry, sorry, sorry...."

Yes rank, not to mention disrespectful to Abbas Miski, Jason Saab, James Roumanos, Bilal Marbani, and probably other Sea Eagles with Lebanese heritage.

Watching NRL 360 where most games were discussed in round 1, but no mention of the slime titans game. Obviously would've picked the eyes out of that game but as usual nothing to see here move along. If those decisions, which never will, happened in a Manly game it would've made front page news!
