Tracking a videos origin wouldn’t be an easy thing to do these days, especially with apps like whatsapp which are designed to keep information private.

I think they are being spread via direct messages initially and then eventually end up posted somewhere.

Tracking all that would be an expensive exercise, especially when their might not have been a formal complaint from the young women in the videos...?

This does seem like a desperate attempt to get the Panthers off the front page doesn't it. But we will find out tomorrow.

The fact that NRL.com ( ! ) is also reporting this (so far) unfounded speculation that the fault is with another club's player is also thoroughly unprofessional.

You raise a great point about NRL.com, Ranger. I think you will also find that their journos were the ones that got the scoop on Hook being boned from the Panthers and some of the coaching merry-go round. They have bona fide journos, like Brad Walter, and so I think that they are trying to reap the financial benefits of owning and producing their own content. But it seems odd to me when the media platform owned by the NRL is out there contributing to the rumour mongering.

Spot on mate. Disgraceful act, who it is that is involved doesn’t matter, the fact that page try’s to essentially broadcast someone’s name, obviously without any sort of permission across social media is as low as it gets.
