I wonder where The Roosters get their young forwards ?
They do have the smallest nursery
They have some great ones playing and great ones coming through the grades
Spot on…roosters have a great programme for juniors that would have cost millions…they even bought a block of apartments near their facilities for all their top juniors to live in and make sure they eat right, train right etc …also builds loyalty for the future

A Great Organization is as Great that the Great people it Invests in

Imagine our owners doing something like that 😭 more likely to pitch a tent for them at the local caravan park

I'm ok with the club cutting our losses for this year if it means setting up for a more competitive tilt at 2026.

The reality is that the top 4 is a crucial piece of a successful premiership tilt and we aren't in a position to challenge for that this year. Avoid the spoon and start getting the pieces in play for 2026.

I would think that him coming this year would be some form of an upgrade on his current deal meaning he is ahead overall - which is smart if that cap space was just going to be Arthur

From smh

"Manly will continue talks with Newcastle around an early release for injured prop Paul Bryan (out for the season after undergoing shoulder surgery) to join the club before Monday’s June 30 deadline, having already signed a deal for next year. In turn, Sea Eagles back up half Jake Arthur will join his brother Matthew at the Knights for the rest of 2025."

There is a plan somewhere there..
Why else bring in a bloke before June 30 who can't play this year.
Be it salary cap.
Be it the high school kid no 7 getting more game time.
Be it a way of opening up a top 30 spot for 6 months
