Perrett 2019

First Grader
Some will think its a joke and to make that even more true, Hasler was in charge of him with mixed feelings at the Dogs.
This big bloke has been only a marshmallow looking to offload, but I reckon 2019 will play direct and tough yet still offer the offload.
Is Perrett done or is 2019 that breakout season ?

He always gives me the impression that he constantly needs someone on his back pushing him or he'll clock off early.
Hopefully this coaching team will do that.
I can't imagine Dessie or Donny letting that happen on their watch or he'll be gone.
He's probably only still here because Dessie came in late.

13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Manase Fainu

17. Corey Waddell

Who do you drop for him fellas? Remember, we also have Winterstein, Sipley, Keppie and others

While not advocating for Perrett my understanding is the Waddell isn't seen as highly in the pecking order as some on here have him.

If he is still here to start the season i reckon he'll have a big year off the bench. Still some tweaking and additions for our squad yet
Without specifically mentioning us zorba said on 2ky this morning that he expects several movements in the player market between now and the seasons start so hopefully if true, we can pick up someone.
Preferably an outside back though.

WINTERSTEIN lol.

Know what, I'd keep Suli out of the backline, and make him a Ruben Wiki type. THAT , I could get on board with.

I expect a few players to lift this year with harder training, better culture, more structure and intensity. Players improve when coached well.
I've not seen a change of culture to date mate, that's what worries me. I hope we have a few Joe Galuvao, Brent Kite, Ben Kennedy characters 's ararounthe joint to lead by example.

You must be looking at a different Manly to me . Whenever I'm scrolling through the Manly Facebook pages , in particular Donny Singe's page all I see is hard training , comrade and laughter from the boys . I can definitely see a big change in culture , so guess what Manlys Back Baby . # IN HASLER WE TRUST .

Yes @Ryan... the pictures I’ve seen paint a picture of hard work and comradeship to my unknowing eye. Something for which Des Hasler coached teams are renowned for.

Don't rate Perrett. Can't see him in our first choice 17 and doubt he'd make any other clubs 17 either. But, he will get a run at some stage and I'd be happy for him to prove me wrong.

Just on the Insta pictures etc........I think social media and millennial's propensity to share everything skews opinions.

I've no doubts, players from the 70's, 80's, 90's and even our dominant late 20's squad would get out on the drink and have the odd laugh, but it wasn't in your face, so they would come out on the weekend, play well and everyone would go "wow what a dedicated professional"

Suli, is a bit out of shape so fair enough, but I see Fainu mentioned as an example of a worrying "culture"..............honestly, if he didn't have an Insta account you see a young 20 year old on the field holding his own against seasoned professionals and rave about him.

Imagine for a second Cliffy back in the 90's posting on insta, he'd have a ciggie and a beer in every pic.

For mine, if they are not getting into trouble, listening, learning and putting 100% in at training and then performing on weekends then I couldn't give a stuff if they have the occasional beer or Shisha

A heap out potential.

Its funny the impressions we get from photos... The lastest one I saw of young Suli with his Mrs, I thought he looked rather slim in the face....

I guess we just have to trust Donny and Des will have him ready to go...

He could very well, I don't really following any of them on social media
