Perth Bears recruitment and squad building

As mentioned elsewhere I take great interest in roster management and squad building and never moreso then when a club is starting from scratch.

I followed the Dolphins initial recruitment drive with great interest and will do so with the Bears too.

So with Nov 1st approaching I thought time to start a thread for all things Bears signings and recruitment.

Now.....I get it, I'm about to get a few "who cares" type messages and fair enough, if you are not interested feel free to give this thread a skip.

So todays rumours from one of our own is Preston and Burton.

If the pulled it off some start to building out a top 30.

Wrong thread I know but I'm not so sure. A poor country suddenly presented with the opportunity for athletes to make huge money for playing a violent game, which they already love... might take a couple of years to hit their straps but wouldn't shock me at all if they become competitive. Home ground advantage could be big

Can we imagine being a referee, making match deciding impartial decisions, in a place like PNG.

Likely have extra cap space or some sorts of compensation due to location, which I think a few sides have had in the past.

Don't believe so. AFL have always been strong on that. NRL never been for it.

Personally I think a new Club should get 500k extra cap year 1, 250k year 2 and 100k year 3 but thats just me.
