Pommy Daryl Clark - Great option at 9

Daryl Clark’s name has become prominent in the Australian Rugby League media as the hooker has been linked with a move to multiple NRL clubs in 2022.

At 28-years-old, Clark has played close to 300 Super League games for the Castleford Tigers and Warrington Wolves, with a Man of Steel winning year and multiple caps for England coming as a result of his great form.

Personally rate this bloke as the BEST option if Fainu does not make it back to the NRL....Explosive burst and very sharp service, plus CAN tackle...was excited to see he may be available and would welcome him 100%

Thing is the warrington owner is a VERY rich man who can and has thrown his money around to attract the players he wants. Daryl Powell is going there as coach next year and that's who Clark played his best footy under while at castleford. Warrington haven't won a title since Noah was a lad and the owner is desperate to buy one. In other words I can't see him moving unless they have an upgrade lined up

Great player - his scoots out of dummy half are so bloody good. Great pass, vision, speed, cover defence, toughness, and skill. He would absolutely kill it here under the new rules.

I've always loved the hard-nosed pommy players. They have produced some beauties over the years. Anyone care to guess who my favourite is?

Clue - he's a handsome bugger with a magnificent smile.

I am guessing it is not Andy Gregory (rough as guts) or Ellery Hanley (head like a rover's dog)...

and Chariots was gorgeous but your description of hard-nosed doesn't really suit a winger...

Sam Burgess?? seems too recent....

I am going to opt for Paul Sculthorpe....?

EDIT: Hahahahahahaha.... I did not even remember Kevin Ward... lol #fail

in my defence, Scully WAS better looking 🙂

This is one of the best things I have ever had the pleasure of reading on Silvertails. Classic stuff.
