Sea Eagles prop Taniela Paseka has undergone surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury midway through the first half of the Round 3 victory over the Raiders.

Taniela is aiming to be available to play in Round 25 this season following a 16–20-week recovery period.

Manly superstar Tom Trbojevic will join brother Jake, prop Siua Taukeiaho and winger Jason Saab on the sidelines after being ruled out of Saturday’s match against the Broncos at 4 Pines Park.

'Turbo' has been playing with a corked thigh in recent weeks and aggravated the injury in last Friday’s loss to the Eels. The club announced in a statement that it was taking a conservative approach and would rest their star fullback this weekend.

Taukeiaho picked up a minor calf strain against the Eels and he too is expected to miss just the one week.

Jake Trbojevic will also sit out Saturday’s match against the Broncos as he continues to follow NRL concussion protocol before returning in Round 14 while Saab has succumbed to illness.

Sea Eagles forward Josh Aloiai has suffered another shoulder injury in his return match after five games on the sidelines while Maroons Origin hopeful Jaydn Su'A left the field with an ankle injury in the first half of Friday's game against the Knights.

Saab stays out for TT (imo)

Also that leaves Croker, Jazz and Simpkin in the 17, which I don’t think we carry all three. I think one of these three drop out and Seibs carry’s Talau on the bench perhaps with Saab on the wing. O'Brien also failed to acknowledge that Holmes played SOO alongside Ponga and still backed up for Illawarra against Newcastle.

In each of our good wins v Panthers, Cows and Broncs, which were our best defensive performances of the year, these players featured.

Bull, Waddell, and Brown have been gradually increasing their minutes over the past few rounds.
