From the 'NRL 2025, Injuries, Suspension Return Dates, Casualty Ward and Key Information for the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership Season' web page, Here is the Latest NRL Injured or Unavailable Update:

* * * (Updated: Sunday, 03 August 2025) * * *

Sea Eagles Second Rower,Ben Trbojevic failed an HIA in the first half of the Round 22 clash against the Roosters.

Manly Coach, Anthony Seibold reported in the post-match Press Conference that
Jazz Tevaga has injured his hip pretty badly and he could not put any weight on it. He stated that Jazz heard a pop in his hip so it doesn't sound good.

Meanwhile, Manly forward
Haumole Olakau'atu has been ruled out of Tonga's Pacific Championships campaign against Samoa and New Zealand after requiring season-ending shoulder surgery.

Olakau’atu will not play again this season after dislocating his right shoulder in Sunday’s Round 21 loss to the Bulldogs at Allianz Stadium.

The Tongan international dislocated the same shoulder against the Titans in Round 15 and was making his NRL return against the Bulldogs, after six weeks of rehabilitation.

However, he lasted just 43 minutes before re-injuring the joint in his side's loss to the Bulldogs.

The Sea Eagles announced that
Olakau’atu would undergo surgery in the next couple of weeks and should be ready to return to full contact in January.

Manly Sea Eagles
  • Ben Trbojevic (Concussion, TBC)
  • Jazz Tevaga (Hip, TBC)
  • Lachlan Croker (Concussion, TBC)
  • Josh Aloiai (Shoulder, TBC)
  • Taniela Paseka (Achilles, Round 26)
  • Nathan Brown(Biceps, Finals)
  • Haumole Olakau'atu (Shoulder, 2026)

Also, from the Official NRL Casualty Ward & Injury Information, Manly hub page, there are slight variations to the information regarding the unavailable or injured players and their return periods:
  • Taniela Paseka (Achilles, Round 26)
  • Josh Aloiai (Shoulder, TBC)
  • Haumole Olakau'atu (Shoulder, Next Season)
  • Nathan Brown(Biceps, Finals)

Raiders by 30 sadly
This will get ugly if we are not careful Ricky will have his boys up for this one.
Good to see Raiders get a Friday free to air game sadly it will be at the expense of a flogging on us.

Yeah, unfortunately Saints haven't done us any favours they'll be spitting chips. Mind you, we've given them a few touch ups over the years in Canberra, but have dread feeling this won't be one of them.

For me, semi-realistic:

1. Turbo
2. Hopoate
3. Koula
4. Talau (I believe he went to right centre when Hopoate went off)
5. Garrick
6. Brooks
7. DCE - can he put in... please?
8. Lodge
9. Simpkin
10. TKO (c)
11. Waddell
12. Hart - why not? We'll probably get MCK otherwise.
13. Jake
14. Zaidas Muagututia
15. Navale
16. Bullemor
17. Sipley

Might be inclined to put Bully starting in the 2 nd row with Waddell .
T K O and Lodge still starting props , Navavle [ guess that he has been going not too bad in N S W cup recently ] to come on for Jake to revert to prop with Sipps .
On the proviso Burbo is ruled out
Would like to think Talau can be considered for an edge role from the bench and definitely not the ideal situation the other night when he briefly came on initially for Lehi and pretty much straight off again
Actually of all the backs apart from D C E and apart from some still quite reliable defence , Lehi"s overall effectiveness has been down a bit for a few games now but of course still no doubt with his promising future ahead and ideally naturally in Sea Eagles colors .
Simpkin should presumedly be right to go and starting with Jazz apparently unable to back up and Gordy back to a bench role .
Waddell can always play a prop role as well if needed .
Great if soon Hart can come into calculations with good form in Reggies but not too sure on his eligibility for i st grade this season

There's no question Burbo is ruled out, being cat 1 and under concussion protocols.

Simpkin was cat 2 and fine, so yes he should be starting at 9 and Gordy on the bench. The only other option could be Croker, if by some miracle he's fit, but highly unlikely.

Not even sure if Croker has been playing N S W cup recently but would think way underdone for i st grade regardless .
Dogged competitor for sure and for a few seasons previously but hard to see him coming back anytime soon with his injury issues for a while now
