Having said that I would be hoping that Waddell, GoJetSki, Guacamole or some other smokey is developing to a stage where Thommo at 31 is not a walk up start in the 17 ...... I may sound like an old Grinch ... but the size of the pay cut would determine my decision ....

Yeah I reckon Thommo has 1 or 2 more good year in the NRL. If he wants to win a comp... If the price is right then definitely. This is how you win a premiership, guys like Taufua Thommo and the T bros taking unders to stay together.

Thompson is having a damn good season. Runs good lines and is one of our hardest hitters in defence. Would be happy to keep him at a fair rate

Another year, which could be a Premiership year ( more likely 2020 than this year in my humble opinion).

The talk was that Joel was after a few years. He is 31 yrs old ( this month). Do we give him 2 years? At what price. Presently on $600 k . Is $500k fair? Still all good re salary cap but not buying any one of significant just top ups.
