Three things, can somebody tell me why ....

1) The mighty rugby has fallen so low it is being played at a suburban ground?

2) How they have escaped criticism for playing at "the worst most decrepit unsuitable venue in the world"?

3) I have seen about 4 articles on the game and every one calls it Brookvale Oval .... how do they get away with not calling it Lottoland?

1) They expected Sydney FC to be in the final and hence Allianz was booked.
2) Nobody cares enough about the Tahs to criticise.
3) Lucky I guess.

Still, I didn't think Brookie would be next best choice ....

It will be interesting to see how many rugby fans cross the bridge to attend ..

I read somewhere that they checked and the area in Sydney with highest number of Tahs members was Northern Beaches, so they don't have to cross the bridge. If they are rah rah fans, they'll probably have to cross Narrabeen bridge though.

I will be attending on Saturday night. Yes people I am a Rugby & League follower. Burn me on the cross now :mm: I expect a crowd of around 8000 if some of the local Kiwi Auckland Blues fans turn up.

Mayday .... Mayday ......

GreenTurd and all the other numpties at NRL .... I have just been advised that the traditional Rugby League heartland of the Northern Beaches is under serious threat from the Rah Rahs ...... we need to act to save the game ....

We urgently need a new $500mil stadium, permanent Friday night games and our own personalised corrupt referees .... plus the entire NRL, Foxtel and Nein staff to act as our own rabid cheer squad ...

You know the drill ... we'll have the Parra pack ....

5) Aren't they worried about a plethora of ACL injuries and collapsing scrums on the unstable surface

The fans dictate the content they read. Its a true fact......Sydney/Rugby League media is a strongly consumer driven market

Haha yeah funny thing about Kiwis on the Peninsula. They go for Manly over the Warriors but would never barrack for the Waratahs over an NZ side.

The Blues are going cr*p again this season 2 wins from 9 games so plenty of the local Blues fans may give the game a miss & wait until the All Blacks roll into town in a few months time.

We should all get there. The rah rah are tied in much better politically than manly ever have been. If two sports play out of brookie it’s far more likely to get an upgrade. Especially from the rah rah private school crowd that are all tied in with the liberal party @:D

In my opinion having the Rah Rahs at Brookie is great news and they should be encouraged to make it their home ground. Why? Because then the demands for an upgrade of the ground will be much stronger and the argument for a northen stadium argument would have a two pronged attack, especially with the State Government and the local council. Bring it on.

From watching the game on telly, it appears the hill has way more people than the stands, I think the NRL need to take note of this. Not everyone wants to be crammed into a rubbish plastic seat. But why would they consider what the fans actually want.
