Refs were horrible in the second half but to be fair I didn't enjoy any footy tonight

I unfortunately was watching this on channel 9 and you could hear them rooting for the Sharks (except Sterlo who is quite fair).

I don’t know what we did to Andrew Johns but he absolutely hates Manly. He and others in the channel 9 team were still tipping the Cronulla at 1/2 time despite being 14 down and looking punchless the whole 1st half. Maybe they know something. And, I swear I heard him cheer when Cronulla scored to make it 14. I just feel these scum are all in on this.

All the more glory every time we win

Hasler made a veiled criticism about the reffing in the presser.

The square-up penalty phenomenon is real, it hindered us tonight and it benefited us when we were behind in the middle third of the Dragons game. It is a concern.

Johns hasn’t done anything to me but I cannot stand him or his brother! They’re both tossers & think so highly of themselves & their fu@ken Knights. Both are a waste of space!!! Anyway love it each time we win & shove it right up them.

We fired Andrew Johns didn’t we?

I was upset about the sharks first try. Yeah I know you can go shoulder to shoulder when you’re both going for the ball, but Jorge got taken down a couple of metres before the ball, and the jostler has his arm on Jorge, this is clear on the front camera angle.

The nein commentators nearly made something of it for a second but then hushed up.

Foxsports was a lot better. Even Gasnier was praising us but maybe being an ex Goon he hates the gummies more than us.

I have never seen 10 penalties in a row . That has got to be a record

How the heck do you pull Cust up for a quick tap and on the very same blade of grass in the 2nd half....allow the young Sharks bloke to tap - go and score??
The 10 straight penalties seems far fetched, but what makes it worse was the fact the opposition were no more perfect themselves, yet didn't give away 1.
In fact some of the decisions were comedy value highlighted by Fifita's illegal play balls and flops.

There was another game I seen over the weekend taht had me shocked...there was a clear obstruction that took out a defender who was 10m away from the action and Zero chance of making the tackle.
The Bunker watched the replay 152 times like usual, then state it had "NO IMPACT ON THE PLAY" and this was a common sense decision.....I was happy, like finally these officials are going to start using common sense.....how wrong was I....10 minutes later a try is taken off in an identical situation even though the bloke again had "NO IMPACT ON THE PLAY"
Get it right - the common sense approach is great, but make it black or white - the inconsistency is a Huge negative in today's game and can be often looked past, as it usually isn't a game defining call....but the day it does decide a game and its say, a Grand Final - fans will go nuts.

Fans have no faith in the officials as it is, so they need to start getting it right and be more decisive with rulings - before Finals time preferably.

100% correct the ball didn’t get played the player did.

The 2 sets (31 and 57 minutes) of the run of 3 with 2 minutes of each 1 is suspicious.
Refs looking to penalize every set that Manly had to defend @

Just watched replay and 10:22 left of 2nd half, Fifi runs behind Duges - no penalty - even the Fox guy says 'a moment ago we saw a penalty for this situation but this time it's play on'

What about the quick tap that Cust took. Was it within the 10-metres or the same as the Cronulla quick tap?
I haven't had the benefit of a replay.

Yeah I'd like to know how that wasnt called up as escorting - Gray stopped chasing the ball once Jorge got between him & it & essentially shouldered him off the ball for the other Sharks player to run through & score.

I dont see any difference between that & the various penalties given for escorting this season.
