How the heck do you pull Cust up for a quick tap and on the very same blade of grass in the 2nd half....allow the young Sharks bloke to tap - go and score??
The 10 straight penalties seems far fetched, but what makes it worse was the fact the opposition were no more perfect themselves, yet didn't give away 1.
In fact some of the decisions were comedy value highlighted by Fifita's illegal play balls and flops.
There was another game I seen over the weekend taht had me shocked...there was a clear obstruction that took out a defender who was 10m away from the action and Zero chance of making the tackle.
The Bunker watched the replay 152 times like usual, then state it had "NO IMPACT ON THE PLAY" and this was a common sense decision.....I was happy, like finally these officials are going to start using common sense.....how wrong was I....10 minutes later a try is taken off in an identical situation even though the bloke again had "NO IMPACT ON THE PLAY"
Get it right - the common sense approach is great, but make it black or white - the inconsistency is a Huge negative in today's game and can be often looked past, as it usually isn't a game defining call....but the day it does decide a game and its say, a Grand Final - fans will go nuts.
Fans have no faith in the officials as it is, so they need to start getting it right and be more decisive with rulings - before Finals time preferably.
