Can anyone remember how much JT was fined each year he called the refs cheats and accused the NRL of being corrupt.

It was after the Cowboys were eliminated each year from the finals prior to being granted their first premiership.

Then the NRL used him to promote the Australians in a test match where he asks the Sydney fans to come out and support the team! I thought..not on your sweet nelly!!!

Just more and more evidence of the biased way in which this disgusting administration treats teams.

We're not one of the favoured ones and will always be facing an uphill battle to get a level footing.

That's why this year was so good for me. We weren't supposed to get into the finals but did against the odds.

But the NRL's head of football Todd Greenberg says no action will be taken against Thurston for his remarks.

"There is a distinct difference between the comments themselves and some of the interpretations placed on of those comments," Greenberg said in a statement.

"At no stage was there a reference to the integrity of the officials.

Toovey got sanctioned for attacking the integrity of officials and on the same weekend, Thurston didnt attack the integrity of officials according to the knob jockey running the show.

We have to overcome much more than many teams to win a premiership. Unfortunately it's been that way since the corporate types and television became so powerful within the sport. This season is just the tonic to push our club towards a title next season. Forcing Todd into a corruption level that may need to exceed that which was on display when they dropped the title into Nick Politis lap. There can only be one affluent Sydney region to take up the hated silvertails Moniker. And uncle Nick bought those rights years ago.

To be fair , Thurston did not attack the integrity of the officials. Rather he attacked the whole integrity of the game and all who had gone before him. Rather than just say the refs sucked, he said everyone associated with the game sucked, therefore no fine could apply.
