I didn't watch the fight. It was always going to end badly for Mundine. As for the punch (which I still haven't looked at) I've seen many funny/strange things in the boxing ring. I've even seen blokes knocked out from what appeared to be a glancing blow to the brow. It just depends on how hard you can get their brain to "slosh" inside their skull. That's how you lose consciousness...and believe it or not, you can contribute to your own knock out by reacting and pulling your head as contact is made.

As for Jeff....meh. I'm still not sold on him. To claim that you want to fight blokes like Alvarez and want a rematch with Crawford....a fight with a 43 year old bloke at the end of his career doesn't seem like the way to go about it. The thirteen year age difference should have made Choc think twice....but the lure of dollars and a chance, albeit it a very slim one, to beat a younger fighter on the way out the door was too much for him to miss.

Horn himself makes no secret that he wants to make as much money from boxing as he can and then get out. He is supposed to make over $2m from last nights effort. That is the only reason I can see that he took the fight. Horn was horribly outclassed by Crawford and Alvarez would very likely do the same. Fighting has beens won't help get you to the top in boxing because nobody cares enough when you win to give you a shot at their title.

Last night was a cash grab from both camps. Genuine boxing fans would have been highly unimpressed...as would genuine, champion fighters and their managers.

I can't help but think what a waste of a career to a large degree.
Sure he's made his dough and got his fame and recognition but he could've been so much more.
Instead of being divisive, antagonistic and disrespectful he could've unified a country.
Instead his career has had most of us cheering for him to have his block knocked off.
Shame because he was a great athlete.
A very classy boxer, maybe slightly fragile but he had his tough moments.
I wish I could've cheered for him.
But he didn't represent me in any way and I don't think it's a coincidence that he became a far better bloke with the dropping of koder nasser as his manager.
Anyway right to the end he stirred it up and got people interested in a fight where there was only going to be one result.
And I think that is his legacy.
He got people interested in boxing again in Australia either for him or against because after kostya there wasn't much.

I absolutely love boxing, but hate Australian boxing.. It's a joke. Mundine spent his career fighting washed up alcoholics like Lester Ellis or chippys and brickies with 15-9 records..

Never beat a champion for a title, instead beat nobody's for vacant belts, and every fight he had against a title holder he got flogged..

Shame the media didn't get behind an absolute battler like Michael katsidis over this racist piece of sh!t

Mundane is hardly a superstar and I think that most fair sports people were delighted to see his lights put out by Horn last night. I am over his divisive, inflammatory, discriminatory, homophobic. bigotry and racist comments that he continually gets away with because no one dares to challenge him.

To give him some credit he was a good marketer , he promoted himself well ( not in a good way but made people listen) and made a lot of money from his **** talk.

Every one has their abilities and so did Choc .
His athleticism got him there and his mouth did the rest . Not the best but certainly was good at the talk that brought in the dollars for him . Made much more $$$ out of boxing than most Rugby leauge Players .
I met him a few times and to talk to him he is more humble than when he puts on his stage act .
