Team lists come out tomorrow. Let's see who can nail the starting 17 that run out against the Knights. No long winded explanations or disclaimers. No if's, but's and maybes. Just 17 names

1. Turbo
2. Aku
3. Matt Wright
4. Kelly
5. Horhay
6. Croker
7. DCE
8. AFB
9. Api
10. Kapow
11.Siro
12. Thommo
13. Jake

14. Brown
15. Tanginoa
16. Perrett
17. Frankenstein

Pretty much agree but can see Gowiski ? And a Smokey is Fainu who could sneak into the bench also....very Versatile and rated massive by Manly.
The only certs on the bench are Tanginoa and Winterstein - the other 2 spots are open.

Bench spots are wide open, starting side picks itself.

I would pick 5;

Hastings
Tanginoa
Perrett
Lane
Goeesksi

I have Parker instead of M. Wright.

And my bench is any 4 of the following ... I have 10 possibles for the bench ....

Brown, Perrett, Fainu, Hastings, Lane, Tanginoa, Sipley, Winterstein, GojetSki, M. Wright.

Hard to go against that YART mate, personally I’d like to see Hastings in there in place of Brown, but I can see why TBaz would go with Brown again.

GoJetSki, yes that would be an interesting addition!!

But almost guaranteed to be Lewie as he of course holds the goat photos.

I do questions whether T-Baz gave Fainu extended field time against the Roosters because he was hoping to play him off the bench in a first-grade setting to see how he goes for that 'utility' spot. He got 20 mins, Brown played all of the reggies game then came on for 5 mins at the end. Fainu was very composed and solid, did not look one bit out of place. Plus he didn't drop the ball or give away any silly penalties...

I think Perrett off the bench is a must, we need that extra big body. Lane outplayed Frank in the last trial, so may get the nod for the extra spot.

I THINK my bench would be:
Lloyd
Tanginoa
Fainu
Lane

Squad that will be named

1. Turbo
2. Uate
3. Matt Wright
4. Kelly
5. Taufua

15. Tanginoa
16. Perrett
17. Winterstein

18.Lane
19.Parker

Surprised by the Matt Wright love. His only real value is as a kicker.
Last year until his injury, Parker established himself as being ahead of both Kelly and Wright in the pecking order. Can see no reason why that would have changed. Tom Wright would be more of a chance in my book.

Can Lachy Croker kick?
Jake or DCE can share it.

Going for 2 big boppers on the bench
Wright is the safe option for first away game of the season

Bench will be

Lane
Tanginoa (certainty)
Winterstein
One other out of Gosiewski, Sipley, Perrett

Lane and Tanginoa will be extremely valuable this season, Lane looked very confident at prop, and good impact. Tanginoa I reckon will be up there as one of our best forwards this season imo.
