SYDNEY Roosters prop Sam Moa has knocked back a deal in excess of a $1 million from English Super League powerhouse Leeds.

Moa instead wants to chase a three-year deal that will see him continue his remarkable back-from-the-dead NRL career in Australia, possibly with the Manly Sea Eagles.

The Sunday Telegraph can confirm Moa will leave the Roosters at the end of this year should he be able to find a long-term NRL deal, with his incumbent club agreeing to release him a year early to secure his financial future.

But Moa will not be moving back to the UK - the country he established himself in after playing just one NRL game with the Sharks - after knocking back an offer to join Super League competition leaders Leeds as their marquee player.

Would not be unhappy if we signed him. Still have memories of Glen trying to tackle him in the GF a couple of years ago.

I'd have thought penrith would be chasing him, since brown, api, idrus leaving. Be awsome if we can pull this one off!

Manly should go all out for him, then get someone like Cornish or Issac John for halves depth and we should be right for next season.

Moa, Myles, Trbojevic, Starling, Lawrence! Great choice for front rowers!

This team below challenges anyone. Great defensive team. Big, strong and skilled. Look at the depth in that squad. Injuries wouldn't be a concern, put it that way. Almost looks like Bulldogs / Panthers / Chooks types of depth.

I like it but jake t has to start .

Jake is, and will be for many seasons, our forward 'rock'. His defence is outstanding. None of this grappling and hugging, he cuts them down. While he will probably not be a really damaging runner, he can become a skilled off-loader.
I'm super impressed with Jake. I'm sure he'll be playing SOO around 2017.

ManlyArmy.....do you consider Lussick a second rower as you left him out of your props. Then again the Rorters throw them in all positions in the pack looking at the makeup needed on field. Scrums don't matter.
