SBW will be a Rooster in 2019

Didn’t they just upgrade Mitchell, ,Matterson , Takiaho and sign Morris and Hall the English International winger??
Plus signed Tedesco and Cronk and Cordner got a massive finale contract also....Keary got upgraded mid year too??
Do the NRL realise fans are not as dumb as them and see the rort so ridiculous it becomes funny....

You forgot their biggest signing next year... Angus Creighton! F@&*ing unbelievable!

Didn’t Finchie on Foxsports make a comment about the Roosters 20 million Cap , and there was a stunned silence by the rest of the commentary team!!

It’s an absolute Rort of the biggest kind!

The sad part is that he's not far wrong really. Clubs like Brisbane and the Chooks with all the TPA's available to them could effectively be operating with around double the salary cap.

This is exactly why there needs to be a cap on TPA's.....but the RLPA will never allow that.

Just look (as it stands right now) who is likely to be their top 13 next year.....and they still are going to have to have another 17 to fit under the cap.

Tedesco, Tupou, Mitchell, Morris, Hall, Keary, Cronk, JWH, Friend, Taukeiaho, Cordner, Crichton, Radley.

That's about $5M or $6M right there.....at least.

He’ll be close to 34 yrs old, signed for a quarter of the season and is more injury proned than Curtis Sironen,he’s not likely to take up much more than $200000 of their cap next yr.Im always sus on the Roosters dealings but not this one.

If the NRL rated Gifty as at least $600,000 back in 2015 when he was old, injury prone and spending more time on the sidelines than playing then no way should $BW be only valued at $200,000.....especially if he has just switched back to league after representing the All Blacks at the RWC.

With the NRL though it would not surprise me in the least. Remember that this is the mob who have allowed Smith and Thurston to pocket $750,000 each after a testimonial game and ruled that it would not be included in their clubs respective caps.

You cant tell me its a level playing field out there. Its like the only and main purpose is to make The rorters a super strong team, no one else matters. Nearly every week they sign someone new, its like they sign someone and turn around and laugh in everyone,s face, because no one has the balls to really do a thorough investigation on the club and they do have the salary cap boss there , so they can do what they want.

Every fan of the 15 other teams feel the same way.

Sadly our illustrious leader doesn’t!

All the more reason to bring in a player points rating system.
Then they can get paid whatever they like as long they don't exceed a certain number of points.

That’s the secret!!

If the Rorters want to pay SBW $5 million let them. BUT he takes up 10% of the points “ Cap” and they still need 29 more!!

Interesting reading about greenburg and beattie getting financial advice from uncle nick on how to improve the nrls money. Thinking the roosters can do what ever they want and wont ever be questioned by the current leadership.

I remember in the ARL days Clubs had a limit on the number of Internationals that they could sign.

There has to be a spread of talent to make a Season competitive
