Brisbane have gone into finals mode bunkering down in Sydney early to build up for their crunch NRL clash with defending premiers Manly at Brookvale Oval on Friday.
Coach Anthony Griffin took his 18-man squad to Sydney on Tuesday night to prepare them for the encounter against the side which knocked them out of last year's finals series one game short of a grand final appearance.
Brisbane had been scheduled to have their final training run at their Red Hill base but instead will have a closed session in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
The Broncos are sitting seventh and need to upset Manly or beat Penrith the following weekend to be assured of a place in the top eight.
Advertisement Two losses could result in them missing the finals for only the second time in 21 years.
Forwards Alex Glenn (hamstring) and Josh McGuire (eye) are both expected to be cleared to line up against Manly who have several injury concerns.

Yeah mate they are real serious, and they need to be as they have had 5 losses in a row.....this is now a "danger game" for the Eagles.
They need to win at least one of their final two games to make the 8 so they will be "up for it".

Yep, Huge game. If we win this without anymore injury problems I am confident we will go on to the GF. The Broncos intensity will be peaked out to max level for this game as it really is do or die for them. It really could go either way, they are at full strength and have one of the best fwd packs in the competition. I am worried about the fatigue factor kicking in from last sunday and the fact they are fully rested and a lot fresher than we are. No doubt we have the best backline in the comp but we will need the fwds to grow an extra leg here. T Rex is key for us here, we need him to step up and play 80 mins like his first 40 last week. Foz knows this and the article this week was very timely. A win here may also allow us to rest some troops next week if other results go our way.

Civoniceva will retire at the end of this season but, with the Broncos on a five-game losing streak and teetering on the edge of the eight, that end is threatening to come early.
Buhrer knows the Broncos will be desperate to send Petero out in finals style and is preparing to a typically tough encounter.
"He's a big game player, Petero. They've lost a few on the trot but they've been really close, they've pushed a lot of really good teams.
