Season 2024 countdown.

To my feathered friend @The Wheel

The 2024 NRL Grand Final Countdown has begun
The Preseason training and Netflix series are done
and it is now how we show up at the Showdown that Counts

The Real Manly Way Showdown
against Real Opposition

Karl Lawton now co-captain, that's a good comeback for a bloke they were reportedly trying to offload not long ago. Also noticed him in some of the recent videos - he must be impressing at training.
He's not really a top dummy half but is a quality utility player when fit, could be competing with Burbo, Waddell & co.

Perhaps putting him front and centre in the shop window?

Might go against the trend here, but I'd be more than happy with the following combinations:

09. Gordon Chan Kum Tong
14. Karl Lawton

OR

09. Gordon Chan Kum Tong
14. Jake Arthur

I'd actually also love to see Arthur wearing the 13 jersey (more added pace, ex-factor), Jake to prop.

After one scrimmage and one Mickey mouse trial ... the bookies have seen enough!
Manly are now in to 8th favourite to win the comp, after being about 13th a week or two ago.
Souths still favoured to beat Manly in Vegas, but the odds have narrowed.

Goddamnit been meaning to put some coin on us for a while now but never got round to it.

After the Roosters trial we could bounce out to 14th again;-)

That keen for the footy that I may even watch the Bulldogs V Storm game tonight.....eeww

At least the first 20-30min, see what Papy and Xerri look like.

On the SC front also keen to follow Sam Hughes

Game day, woohoo!

So excited for today and....today of all days have no TV internet for Kayo. Thanks NBN @ Will resort to phone watching.
Rant over, Go Manly!

whilst I love it, I’m over cricket.
Sing with me feathered friend
The day is long without a song
All together now ....

I was walking down the street
Concentrating on truckin' right
I heard a dark voice beside of me
And I looked round in a state of fright
I saw four faces one mad
A brother from the gutter
They looked me up and down a bit
And turned to each other
I say
I don't like cricket oh no
I love it
I don't like cricket oh no
I love it
