I watched Bull pretty closely in the 2nd as was wondering why he was not on. Man he was really struggling to get off the line in defence. He wasn’t alone, but at the time I think he’d only just come back on. He couldn’t go 80 on an edge. Ben actually seemed to get through quite a bit of work today, and I’m far from one of his supporters.

Yeah I noticed his defence numbers were up. My point was prob more there were no early darts. V Penrith he was jumping out in early sets and getting an advantage. Our go forward was awful today which wouldn’t have helped.

But from memory Manly's handling v Penrith as excellent. This game we threw numerous terrible passes, and this side struggles when we don't get an even share.

FFS. Every NRL side should have plenty of fight. It’s a basic prerequisite. Why does he have to find something positive to say every week? Is that a new age philosophy? Just for once, can’t he say it wasn’t good enough, no positives in losing, we need to take a good hard look at ourselves, we let our home fans down again, unacceptable to lose home games to the sharks 4 years running etc. so ****ing soft.

Siebold is fast approaching that wretched deep end of being indefensible. Des has 5 GF appearances and a couple of premierships to fall back on. He has also been playing most of the season without his two first choice halves and his fullback.
