Maybe Shu can lift quite considerably and help the attacking plays no end, Matterson to add a bit of spark , Lodge and Keppie a bit of impetus .
Maybe and if "s not the best set of expectations going into a game but will probably have to do just with the way this Manly season has gone to date .

I’ve got a love-hate relationship with that account… it’s hard not to follow it for the insider info but it’s annoyingly negative about the club.

What happened do you know?
Let’s just say Mestrov wanted a scalp for leaks and he got one on Friday afternoon

So 7 games to go. 4 of those are against very tough opposition. And three vs bottom of the ladder teams. It is still possible for us to peak at the right time of the season. Obviously it must start with a win today.

With the way the ladder looks we might only be able to afford one more loss. There have been some positive signs defensively over the past two weeks. We have definitely improved in this area.

It is well and truly time for our attack to start clicking and a good attacking display today could see us move to a whole new level and boost our confidence over the coming weeks.

If we can win today, we are only 1 point out of the 8 so right back In contention. Roosters/Panthers/Warriors back-to-back-back after the Dragons game next week. A monstrous assignment but if we can get back-to-back wins vs The Sharks and The Dragons we might just have the confidence of going all the way.

Time to start taking some chances in attack and it is all up to Chez and Schuster to create these opportunities particularly with our kicking games and utilising Saab's height and speed and Koula's electric pace and elusiveness.

Maybe wishful thinking but if we gel as a team today we could put on 5 or 6 tries. So if we can get the ball rolling I think we can win convincingly against a Sharks outfit slightly out of whack.

I think Lodge is a big in for us. Especially if he is on when paseka is off. Paseka is currently our only forward that gets us out of our own half. When he goes off we are truly stuffed.

7 wins in our last 24 games
7 losses in our last 10 games

And people are calling for our 13th placed team, "to go on a run" and have a crack at the finals haha.

Then again, sometimes blind optimism is all we can hang onto..like @Wombat64 said perfectly - groundhog Day. We may (or may not) try hard, we'll let in soft as butter tries right up the middle, and lose. THEN, the excuse making begins..

Cut and paste 17 of our last 24 games. Winning 20 something percent of your games since Jersey gate is atrocious.

2 players will make or break us today ... they won't be the reason we lose the game, BUT they can be the reason why we don't win.

Lodge ... if he has a ripper it will unlock our pack and momentum ...

THE Shooey ... if points are to come he is crucial ... my advice garnered from 3 score and ten years for the lad is simply Carpe Diem .... just fukken Carpebloodydiem and run you numbnut!

Rip in Manly and make the Gummies our bitches again.

PSS ... Manly at $3.75 .. put your house on us ... and Gamble responsibly.

Just want to see us play with a team first mindset, knights showed yesterday against the storm, they were never going to let the storm win yesterday.

Show us what this club means to you

Apart from some amazing skills in 2021 this ground hog day has been going for almost 10 years.

I think some of them already do that every week ...... it means Sweet FA to most of 'em.

Can I put your house on it?

Mehhh I was gonna type some stuff but so bloody disenchanted these days. Hate feeling like this. Just have a red hot crack and ramp the intensity ffs boys. Go Manly
With you, TimmyQ. But look at it this way: if we win just one of our last seven, it'll be better than our finish to last year.

0 passion for the club, fans and jersey unfortunately, but I DO also think that's a generational thing rather than it being isolated to us. Then again, I watch players like Liam Martin, Pat Carrigan, JWH & many others, and there IS signs of that siege mentality.

I am never usually one to be troubled too much by team selections as I try to have faith. I, like most of you, have watched every game this season and it seems to me that this weeks lineup is a bit of a joke.
There is not much more that can be done with the backline but -
How is Bullemore not in the 17?
Sipley is playing way better than both Aloiai and Tuilagi and apparently had a ‘fine game’ for workers yesterday.
Aloiai seems to be better coming off the bench so I would prefer Jake at prop and keppie at lock.
