Apparently the video ref can only get involved in that instance only if it was a reportable offence. It’s a joke. Jake never stays down.

Interestingly, in terms of rounds remaining, we are now three points higher on the ladder with six rounds to go this year than last year.

Of course this year includes three two point byes as opposed to one (?) two point bye last year. But unless Ballpoint and his indolent followers have another Pride jersey (or similar) fiasco up their sleeves - to self-immolate Manly’s season - we should finish significantly closer to the finals this year.

Probably been said before but thank **** Lodge was in the team today. Like him or hate him he's a big body that adds punch to the side. I love Paseka but he still doesn't bend the line enough given his size. Lodge was in my opinion huge today given his probable lack of fitness.

You’d have to think Bully and Sips in for Paseka and Aloiai. Such a shame it’s happened the week we go down to Wollongong where we haven’t won since 2003.

Although I think we can knock them off next week provided we get a fair rub of the green, it's unfortunate that the referees performance is so closely linked to the result

It was a brave win in the end. Down 2 key forwards for the last 20 minutes and the referee did everything humanly possible to give them set resets, late penalties in the count and we also panicked a fair bit too.

The Guppies are pretenders this year and now lets make sure that DCE has a memorable 300th!
