Lyon with only 1 point?

If this was a telegraph news item we'd all be up in arms!!!!

Well, I've tallied the Round 9 results:

3 Lawrence
2 Foran
1 Watmough

Updated leaderboard below sees Choc still on top with Foz moving into second place.

1 Watmough 12.5
2 Foran 7.5
3 Cherry-Evans 7
4 Lawrence 6.5
5 Matai 6
6 B Stewart 5
7 Taufua 2.5
8 Horo 2
9 Williams 1.5
10 Symonds 1.5
11 Kite 1
12 Lyon 1

Lawrence is going great guns , he should be second behind Watmough .. How strong are his runs .. best off season purchase by Toovey thus far . (Horo & Symonds are pretty handy also)But Lawrence is the most consistent outof the 3 ..

Results for Rd 10 are in with Foz a clear winner this week:

3 Foran
2 Watmough
1 Lyon

So Foz has closed the gap a little, but Choc is still clear leader:

1 Watmough 14.5
2 Foran 10.5
3 Cherry-Evans 7
4 Lawrence 6.5
5 Matai 6
6 B Stewart 5
7 Taufua 2.5
8 Horo 2
9 Lyon 2
10 Williams 1.5
11 Symonds 1.5
12 Kite 1

Looking forward to Sat night, my first trip to Brookie for the year!

It was a good week for DCE with regards to the Dally M medal (2 points) but he wasn't rated in the top 3 on this website.

Lyon is a funny one. To me he seems out of form in attack this season but he still performs as arguably the best defensive centre in the game.

Wasn't much between Cherry and Killer for the 1 point.

We should all chip in and buy a trophy (let's face it - they cost bugger all) and whoever runs the comp (in this case...mosto) gets to present it to the player at the Manly awards night!!

That way the players can feel more some appreciation from us and in turn it would strengthen the bond between silvertails and the Manly organisation.

Global....that's a great idea, I can't believe you don't get paid for things like this.

Thanks global but as a multi-millionaire world travelling super guy, it's just my small way of giving back.

Well Global (and his alter ego), personally, I think that's a tremendous idea. Particularly the part where the organiser gets to present the award :p

Must admit Watmough is playing out of his skin this year. Deserves to be in first place at this stage.

Hey mosto.

I've just gone through the votes for the Raiders clash.

Ballin got 85 points, Watmough got 41 points and Foran got 18 points. After that it was a tie between DCE and Wolf with 14 points each.

So for this round it reads

3. Ballin
2. Watmough
1. Foran

Snake jumps to 4th, which is impressive given the games he's missed, and Foz moves to within half a point of Choc, who's had a strangle-hold on the lead for most of the year. With Choc out this week, Foz is a big chance of taking the lead.

Not sure I agree with the 3-2-1 from the last game...but that's part of the fun. I thought Foran was the standout in that match. Certainly B. Stewart was in the mix but I would have chosen Taufua over Williams also. Williams played his best game for a long while, but Taufua made an almost record breaking five tackle breaks, three tries and a succession of long penetrating runs. Williams was very good but for mine Taufua was better.

Wasn't a lot in the voting between Snake and Foz for the 3 points and not a lot between Wolf and Jorge for 1 point.

Results for Rd 18 v the Cows are in with Killer picking up his first 3 points for the year.

3. Lyon
2. Foran
1. B Stewart

So Foz seized the opportunity to take the lead with Choc on Origin duty

Foran 18
Watmough 16.5
Cherry-Evans 10
B Stewart 9
Lawrence 7
Matai 6.5
Ballin 6
Lyon 5.5
Horo 5
Hiku 3
Taufua 2.5
Williams 2.5
Rose 2
Symonds 1.5
Kite 1

Results for Rd 19 v Titans are in:

3. Brett Stewart
2. Anthony Watmough
1. Jamie Buhrer

That's the most comprehensive 3 points this year. Snake tallied 108 points, with everyone giving him 3 points. To put that in perspective, 50 points will usually get you the 3 points for the week, and it has been taken out by as little as 27 points. Ferris earnt his first point of the year, and Choc took back the overall lead from Foz, but Snake is bearing down on them with 7 points from the last 3 games.

Watmough 18.5
Foran 18
B Stewart 12
Cherry-Evans 10
Lawrence 7
Matai 6.5
Ballin 6
Lyon 5.5
Horo 5
Hiku 3
Taufua 2.5
Williams 2.5
Rose 2
Symonds 1.5
Kite 1
Buhrer 1
