The case was flawed from the minute the NRL (mysteriously) couldn't get either of their top 2 prosecuters to represent their case.
The No 3 was called in and had never prosecuted a top grade NRL case previously.
The NRL couldnt find anything wrong with Souths players showing their dicks on social media, but just two weeks previously screamed blue murder about the Dogs mad Monday.
This current mob would of hanged Brett Stewart (because of the colour of his jersey).
They turned their backs on players from Newcastle and Broncos positive drug tests in the past because of the status of the players.
No wonder the game is just about dead.

Yes .... the gravy train media will no doubt hail it as a victory for common sense and pragmatism ..... the problem is that victory came over core principles and integrity .....
Those that stand for nothing will fall for anything ... and those that value the short term result, over the long term probity .... are doomed to an existence of corruption and deal making ..... the NRL are open and selling results .....

Is this fair dinkum ?? What a farce if that is the case, a high profile hearing like this and they give it to the office boy ?? Even by Todd's low standards, this is laughable. What a bunch of incompetents we have running this game.......incompetent or corrupt, I'm not actually sure.

Its the most important point, the media are not really reporting this part of the whole sordid affair.
they did talk about it on NRL 360 last night ... before the verdict ... they all said it was a shoulder charge (Kent, Ikin, Crawley, McCullum, Reynolds & Lewis), but he would get away with it ... all of them correct .... the fix is obvious to everyone except the most ardent Slater /Scum supporters
