I really enjoyed that Kingy try, not for kingy scoring but it was just a great play from leStrange, its the kind of stuff you try at training, and sometimes in finals footy you need to run odd plays like that to get you across the line.

  I don't think it fooled the defensive line.  Most would not have been looking at leStrange and King was hit by 3 players still.  The try was King's.  Le Strange just made it look good for TV viewers.

A telegraphed or early pass to King and the three tacklers are easily successful.  A momentarily late decision to tackle is all a determined player may need to gain the advantage. The flat no-look pass is the latest craze.  Thurston did them all day in his last match.

It was a good win, but by no means a great win. The reality in view is that that we have to improve at least 30% on that effort to win in Melbourne next week. The Roosters aren't coming last for no reason, they are crap. Just making the semi finals is not enough for me, I want more and our form needs to lift a lot for me to be happy.

That said I had a great night, and the Manly lunatics were in fine singing voice the entire night.

No seriously the point I was trying to make as a supporter of just under 40 years of Manly  (not quite as old as Mark from Brisbane) was a win is a win, does not have to be pretty but a win just the same. I was trying to support the comment Mark from Brisbane was making, not attack you guys.
