Not many people know that arse raping was one of the main events at the inaugural Olympics back in the summer of 776 BC (you know how those Greeks were). Obviously, Mick, you are a keen student of ancient history.
It'll be a gold medal performance from the whistle/bunker clowns tonight.

Not good news. When we win both minor grades we never win all 3.

Interesting you should say that.

Last night on YouTube I was watching a Manly v Cronulla game from 1988 (Toovey's 2nd ever game). We won the U/21's, Reserve Grade ... and First Grade (this was back in the days when the TV commentators would actually give the results of the lower grades. That doesn't happen now unfortunately.....). It was a Saturday League game on the ABC with David Morrow and Warren Boland doing the call.

Team updates finally, definitely some surprises in there.

I'd probably have Talau in Centre and push Paulo to a wing.

Schoupp moved to 2nd row instead of promoting Parker another surprise - guy plays his first game for us in a position he's never played, as a last-minute move. Where did he train?

Keeping Wads but also moving to starting Prop, and Sipley as the other starting Prop when both were lame 6 days ago....

Seibs I hope you know what you are doing, it looks like being a soggy pitch this evening. That Souths team is pretty A-spec.

Major concern here is playing Sipley and Waddell. Think it's a major mistake, we need to go in with 17 fit players. Can't see either of them lasting and that will kill us. Going to be hard enough for all the reserves without losing those 2.
Yeah, why is Seibs persisting with Sips, he's cooked.

Hope 10 minutes in we don't have our starting props hobbling off

Part of tonight's problem is going to be that we basically have only one kicker on the park (Brooks) and that's going to be predictable for Souths.

We need to keep the ball alive as much as we can when we have got it. Ben and Schoupp might be able to cause some headaches with some nice ball playing

Deadset I have no idea what Seibold was thinking with these late changes. Unless they were training all week for this, I have absolutely no idea why on earth you'd change an entire right side defensively. Schoupp next to Lawton, next to Paulo at centre (yikes), next to Saab. Jack Wighton will be giving us absolute nightmares. Lawton is the only one defensively proficient and everyone else is largely regarded as turnstiles. Humphreys, Parker, etc were all available...

They must have been training with those combos, surely.
