Looks like there will be very little or no rain in Sydney during the day. Perfect conditions - 21-22°.

And we have the luxury of keeping the exact same team on the paddock unlike the Rabbitohs. If we win this we have proved ourselves as a Top 4 material. The Rabbitohs are averaging 5 more errors than us per game and they are also missing 15 more tackles per game than us on average.

If we can capitalise on their errors we will go a very long way towards getting the job done tonight.

Actually our ball control is the 3rd best in the comp at this stage and we are the best when it comes to missed tackles. We just need to get our goal line defence/structure sorted.

Jack Lawton in for Croker.. other than that the team is the same

I dare say Lawton will be getting a couple rests with Weekes on the bench. I would play Lawton for the 1st 30mins then bring Weekes on. Play Weeks for 20mins in the 2nd half then bring Lawton back on to finish the game
Yep, a lot will revolve around how Lawton and Weekes handle defence in the middle.
Big game, Go Manly!

Surprised that the Bunnies were listed as favorites in one report i noticed last night . Obviously a better record in recent times against Manly but also think that Manly will be hard to beat if they can put it together . Particularly if Manly 's spine and more so the Shu can at least match it with Souths there and every chance could even go better . Lawton is a pro and can hopefully slot right into that key 9 role and also hopefully Weekes can add a bit more lively play in and around the ruck area when he gets a shot . Very competitive approach taken by virtually all sides in the season to date and really getting into the grind . This is the norm that Manly will have to adopt also going forward naturally and can certainly get a result tonight with that approach .

Right O let’s rattle Walker and get the red mist flowing, stop AJ, who’s scored 22 tries in last 12 games at home, own them in the middle while the opportunity exists and kill the Accor Voodoo.

Was a good call out by Seibs regarding Satts, joining in the commemorations, mentioning Manly‘s respect for Satts, what his done for the game etc etc and the best way we do that, is bring our best game, I like it and the Psychological equilibrium it carries, we got this, its there for the taking.

Thanks, I didn't realise that until just now.

This could be a blessing in disguise for now. Whilst Croker has been his usual solid self in defence, attack wise he has been below par so he would have been coming into this one down on confidence. Obviously Lawton will be pretty much gassed by the 20-25 minute mark so hopefully no injuries elsewhere in the team so Weekes can come on after 25 mins and give him a 25 minute breather. I believe Lawton should start the second half and be kept on until the 65 minute mark so Weekes can catch some of the big boys napping in the final 10-15.

So that would give Lawton some much needed NRL match fitness (50 mins). If this Lawton/Weekes rotation is successful Croker might have to wait for injury to get back into the team.

So I am assuming that Lawton has a nice crisp passing game yeah?
