Tallyn Da Silva

I thought he was free to negotiate nov 1

They put out this post 20 minutes ago so imagine he’s not available anymore

Personally, I would have liked Da Silva to sign at Manly because I think he is going to be better than Simpkin and obviously Croker, but…I reckon 4 years at 650K is pretty mental. That’s a lot of coin for potential.
Time will tell if it pays off. Could be a flop or a great pick up. That said if he starts killing it, they will prob need to upgrade him in a yr or two anyway.

People talking about big money long term deals based off potential like it's dumb, conveniently forgetting we are still probably paying the next Josh "Joey" Schuster lmao.

Every club does it, and we'll do it again. Da Silva is good but I personally wouldn't make a play like that for a player like him, despite how promising he is now.

Its very unusual for a club to let two young super stars go mid season when they were contracted for years into the future like the tigers have done. For TDS - sure Api was in front of him however Api is 33/34 - he will move to a bench role very soon. Why not just make him stay and I am sure he would get his opportunity. Very strange from the tigers management. Same with Galvin. make him see out his contract and pick him or if he is not performing dont pick him. Why make other clubs stronger. very odd

Agree. You’d think Benji has some latitude for a proper rebuild, but he seems very short termish.

Apparently the tigers havent even re signed Api yet so if the Bears or PNG turn up with a huge offer he may go anyway. So they let TDS go mid season withour resigning Api first. That's one of the strangest things Ive ever heard I have to say.

Apparently they have the Australian School boys no.9 who they think will be ready to go when Api is done

This kid Jared Haywood

I must admit while it is nice to see us not getting hammered in the media for once the beat ups on the tigers are next level
