It looked more like Matai stood his ground and the grub ran into him. To me it looked like Matai saw him still running at him so he leaned forward to brace for the impact.

Just watched a replay (numerous times) of the incident on 7 news and Matai didn't move. The grub simply was running full bore and ran into him and Matai made him pay for it.

True Isz, how close is he to 1st grade ? He is still quite a young guy.

Wow, that puts him in the same area as Brett and Slater. Is he only 19?
