If granted a licence, imagine a very basic members fee of say..$20.
$20 x 40 000 = $800 000PA. Add the corporate sponsorship $$ support and you will get a fair amount each year.

You know why I never comment on Brooky or the politics of Sydney football lsz? Because being so far away from it, I couldn't possibly get a feel for what's going on on ground level. For me to comment on it would be the biggest self indulgent wankfest ever on my part, and it would show me up as being a complete tosser to all the locals. Are you completely and positively up to date with the CQ Bid? Do you know first hand how much work has gone into it? Do you know without doubt how the local people feel about it? Or are you too far away to give an informed opinion?

There is no other club within 600km. How many in Sydney? No, I'm not saying a new club WILL launch with 40 000 members. Just as you can't say it won't. I'm more than confident to meet you halfway though and say 20 000 is a distinct possibility.
