I hope Seibold will rest DCE during the origin series especially with a favourable run coming up in the next few weeks. I really hope Jake Arthur stands up this week and takes this opportunity and cements his place. If he leads us to a good winning streak during the origin, who knows, DCE might find himself out of the side on form.. wouldn't that be a reality check. One can hope.

I love how the article says the Dolphins must be talking to Cherry, despite publicly saying they're not interested, because Cherry says he's spoken to them. Doesn't consider the prospect that the Dolphins aren't lying and that maybe - just maybe - Cherry is.

Also love the, "I won't be announcing it during Origin" bit. Yeah, wouldn't want to cause any distractions during Origin, would you? Much better to wait until Manly's season starts to look vaguely promising again, or another halfback is dominating the news cycle.

DCE's current form appears rubbish, but maybe we have a bias to wanting to see the bad... Regardless, if Jake Arthur is good enough along side Brooks and Tommy leads the way as captain, I wouldn't be against seeing Cherry play the year out in NSW Cup. Do we have a QLD feeder / associated team we could book end his time with us at? The symmetry appeals to me 🙂

An added bonus of making QLD pick their captain from ressies makes me happy.

Also, telling him at 1 July he's playing the rest of the season in the lower grades would be the big dick move I want to see from Meastrov ... just a business decisions, no hard feelings.

The DCE circus continues. For a guy who claims to not want the media attention he sure knows how to string a story out! Anyone would think he’s planning on a media career post retirement? He’s certainly giving an excellent audition on how to craft, develop and sell a narrative.

His English is bog average though. He speaks well but uses wrong words. There's a fancy term for that but I couldn't be bothered looking it up on the internet to appear smarter than I am.

I've always maintained and begged for DCE and his management team to release all these emails outlining how "events transpired".

He's doing a good enough job of "death by a thousand cuts" when he opens his mouth.

It would appear that not everyone is on the same page and the "narrative" is slowly unraveling.

It's hard for one to bite their lip when I see what is going on.

Probably is telling the truth.
Trent said they haven't spoken to DCE, nothing about the recruitment team and DCE management team speaking to each other.
All a big play on words, most players would leave it to the deals are mostly sorted before they start talking to coaches and club CEOs.
DCE would know where the process is up to and when he is close will start meeting the Roosters to finalise the deal.

I surmise that the Roosters are no longer on the "same page" as DCE, the other clubs are also losing interest (or have already lost interest), and his best option may be at Catalans. (Insert tongue in cheek emoji here)
